So idk if anyone else noticed/reported this, or maybe I'm just crazy and doing the math wrong, but I seem to be noticing that the [AMP] modifier isn't taking into account ALL 4 of my subsystems for the damage bonus.
So it says +3.3% all Energy Damage bonus for EACH subsytem over a power level of 75. So in total, I'll get 13.2% damage bonus if I get all my subsystems above 75.
Looking at an Anti-proton Dual Heavy Cannons I have, it reached 2,404.1 Anti-proton Damage using a Red Matter Capaciter to get all my power above 75 (weapon 125)
HOWEVER, with the Obelisk Warp Core combined with the Omni-Directional beam array that boosts only 10% Antiproton damage, I end up getting 2,444.1 Anti-proton damage (weapon 125).
So I'm getting more damage with 10% bonus as opposed to 13.2%? Maybe I'm not noticing something obvious about why this is, or is just another bug that Cryptic are going to fix by 2024.
The Obelisk 2-piece is a category 2 damage bonus, while AMP is a (weird) cat 1/strength bonus that boosts itself and is also boosted by a large number of other bonuses.
Compare the effect of AMP and the 2-piece bonus on your damage while you have EPTW/CSV/APA activated to get a truer sense of their differences.
It seems that the strength boost from [AMP] is itself being boosted by damage bonuses. The formula is extremely weird. The strength boost from [AMP] seems to increase exponentially with the number of subsystems over 75, but not in a straightforward way.

AMP, however, works oddly, as mentioned below. The 3.3% from AMP will scale up with buffs on your ship; for example, while I have APO3, EPTW1, Ambush, Nukara Aux->Offense, and 4 AMP procs active, I have a 6.8% boost per subsystem - and your warp core will tell you that it's scaled up to that much just by mousing over it.

Is the boost from [AMP] functioning as intended?

This is WAI. What you describe is that category 2 and category 1 bonuses calculate differently. There's a fun read on that stuff here (I really need to make that a wiki page).

Tacs are overrated.
