This is a pretty good rule of thumb. The KDF has the fun while the Feds have the numbers.
All those outfits and the Feds still want Orion clothes.
Ships on ships on ships Fedside and most of them are dirt next to the KDF lineup.
All that Sector Space to fly around in for doff missions and the KDF gets the better ones.
In all fairness, way back before things went f2p and the Doff system was being tested on Tribble, the lead designer of the system took a lot of feedback from those of us providing it to tweak things to make it more "fun". Things like being able to execute a chef or bartender came from us (specifically me on this one) and Heretic put a lot of his heart and soul into making the Doff system something more than just working a spreadsheet. Of course he was also the main dev who supported KDF gameplay as well, any time you saw him in game he was always on a KDF character (and that should tell you something about why the KDF tend to have more interesting Doff assignments :cool: ). Of course after he left Cryptic we've seen nerfs and changes to the system to make it more of a chore to do now than the fun it originally was.
Actually KDF gets better Doffing, better recruiting of new DOffs, more EC, closer and more convenient Clusters... quite a few advantages that nevertheless get ignored in the Need-To-Be-Fed mindset of most players.
Since the bull*hit peace treaty, my doffs raiding outposts and freighters is like Fed doffs doing the exploration

Are you saying that going to Delta makes you sign a peace treaty at some point, and that changes your DOff marauding missions? Everywhere, or only in Delta quad itself?
That would seriously affect whether I take my KDFs into Delta at all if that is the case...

Going into Delta didn't change the existence of Marauding missions.
I do seem to get less Contraband & more TRIBBLE Commodities, though. A crapton of Prisoners, as always. I think that's what's being referred to in the post you quoted. Marauding isn't as efficient at gleaning the Contraband as it used to (at least, that's how it feels).
Still, my Contraband supply is going back up, mainly due to the fact that I'm slowing down my Contraband turn-in. When my unrefined Dil goes below 50k, I'll probably ramp up the Contraband mission again.

Of course KDF has better doff missions. Not just contraband, dil and prisoners, but also exp. Its painfull to see my kdf toon not actualy played (just doffing), wich 5-6 points in advance of fed toons, wich I play (sometimes)
This doenst mean I want them nerfed, by all means.
But it would be nice to have at least a copy/paste sort-a-like mission of the "Repress gorn uprisings".
But instaid, with just a text change, like "Respond to a distress call" mission or something like that.
Lost track of how many episodes in the show started with this.
Especially that these missions are in the EE and Pi canis, at the border between kdf and fed space.
So less influence from both, more open colonies for pirate attacks, rogues elements and stuff like that...
My two KDF alts are very efficient contraband and dil farmers. They double-handedly supply my four Starfleet Characters and Fed-Aligned Romulan quite handily.
That being said I do RP with them in a KDF roleplaying fleet and I do slowly run through the storyline missions with them. Why not? It gives me a different perspective.
But alas, their main purpose is to farm for my feds. I certainly don't want to see it nerfed.
