- - I can't believe the PvErs allow them to violate their STF territory so brazenly. Why do they get away with it?
- The PvErs have a treaty of non-aggression and friendship with the Devs, so they're willing to turn a blind eye to almost anything in the name of friendship.
- - What we need is to bring the PvErs into the war on our side. With the combined forces of the PvPers and the PvErs we could finally go on the offensive.
- - - That's the last thing the PvErs want. Think about it. They're in the perfect position. They get to sit back enjoying their new content every season, and watch as their biggest rivals slug it out in a long, bloody war. No one's threatening their interests. Why should they risk their necks? There's simply no reason for them to get involved in our war. No reason at all.
- That was the moment I made the decision. It was like I had stepped through a door and locked it behind me. I was going to bring the PvErs into the war.
(free Phaser Beam Array to anyone who gets the quote).
introducing another primary specialization, with another set of specialization station powers, gated on a handful of ships, non of which are any of the countless you already bought!
yes indeed, we are doubling down on the bad, not reigning this unplayable mess back in like we should have!
"That was the moment I made the decision" to stop even logging in to start daily crafting assignments.
I think I am way down on the PvE'er list but I am not going to use a shuttle for a while just to be safe........................

Well, im on DPS channels and constantly involving people in PvP talk. at least few made the vote even. Hassan and Nando are there too and founders of DPS channels are long time PvPers as well.
That's why you came to me right?
Because you knew I could do those things you're incapable of doing.
And you got what you wanted.
We just might saved entire PvP and all it cost was lives of 1 RP romulan senator, 1 criminal and self-respect of one P2W starfleet officer.
And yeah, Riccardo, you are watching DS9 bit too much lol.

Sharxtreme was right about one thing. A guilty conscience is a small price to pay for the safety of the PvP community, so I will learn to live with it. Because I can live with it.
I can live with it.
(too much DS9? ... probably lol I have another one ready to come up)
- The direction of the game is evil, and the Prophets tell us that evil must be opposed.
- - You'll get no argument from me there. But protests and "best expansion ever" signatures aren't going to change anything. They're just going to cause trouble for everyone.
- Then what would you have us do to oppose PVP's death by a thousand cuts?
- - I don't think there's anything you or the other players can do right now.
- I see. Then as a forum-PVP trained officer, what will you be doing to fight the devs?
- - Fighting isn't an option. This is different than Cryptic's negligence of PVP under Atari.
- Is it? Cryptic are in control of this game. Non-monetized parts of the game are being curtailed one by one. And soon the first wave of dinosaurs with lasers on their heads will be landing on our world.
- - We're talking about harmless PVE enemies. They come in, they do their job, and they're gone.
- Can't you see what is happening to you? You're becoming an apologist for them, a defender of evil. What will it take to make you act? To stop accepting them and start fighting back?
- - You just don't understand.
- You are right. I don't. Maybe tomorrow we will both understand.

Excellent.
- "They worked so hard on that DR thing. The least you could have done is tell them you were proud of them"
-- "But I'm not."
- "Oh!"
-- "And frankly, it's a little hard to be impressed with any of their "accomplishments". It has been five years, and what have they done? Destroying playing part of community to cater to patrol mission farmers? What's next, exploration comeback?

--- Hmm! All of this is just a little too perfect. The immersive Patrol Missions with the answers to all of our XP problems; the message from Cryptic telling us everything we want to hear; a T6 free Kobali starship delivered to our doorstep - what more could we ask for?
They even gave us free Gold Upgrades. The only thing missing was a playable Dog race and solving Caitian tail clipping problems.
It does seem to be convenient.
and...
You were correct, Captain. My desire to remain in the Delta Quadrant was based on fear. I am no longer grinder, but the prospect of becoming PvPer is... unsettling. I don't know where I belong.
-You belong with us.
- - Okay. Let's say I'm a PvEr. From where I'm sitting, the Devs aren't a threat to me. I have a non-aggression pact with them. They're my allies.
- You're not going to put your faith in some pieces of paper, are you?
- - Not at all. I've been watching them very closely since the beginning of the war, and so far, they've kept their part of the bargain.
- They're violating your STF territory almost every day. What kind of an ally is that?
- - So they're crossing my backyard to give the PvPers a bloody nose. I can't say that makes me very sad.
- You can't be naive enough to think that the Devs are going to stop with the PvPers. When they're finished with us, they're be coming after you.
- - That's speculation.
- The Devs see it as their sacred duty to bring order to the galaxy. Their order. Do you think they'll sit idly by while you keep your chaotic PvE community right next to their perfect order? No. If you watch us go under, then what you're really doing is signing your own death warrant.
- - But before I plunge my people into a conflict that will kill millions of loyal PvErs, I need something more concrete than the self-serving argument of a PvPer. I need proof of Devs duplicity. Not more words, proof.
- Very good, old man. You would have made a decent PvEr.
- - I prefer people to hitpoint bags.
"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone
We are assembled here today to pay final respects to our honored dead.(PVPERS) And yet it should be noted that in the midst of our sorrow, this death takes place in the shadow of new life,(SALAMI INFERNO) the sunrise of a new world. A world that our beloved comrades gave Lives to protect and nourish. They did not feel this sacrifice a vain or empty one, and we will not debate their profound wisdom at these proceedings. Of my friends I can only say this. Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, theirs was the most, human. (cept Hobos)
and while i was here i could not resist ............"It has always been easier to destroy that to create" -- Spock
"Not anymore! Now we can do both at the same time. According to myth, the Legacy of Romulus was created in six days. Now watch out! Here comes Delta Rising!! , we'll do it for ya in six minutes."

point if you can guess the movie
hint? I'm sure I've heard of it but can't remember it...
While we're here, a few sections above PvErs are moaning about game servers, lol.
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
Passion and Serenity are one.
I gain power by understanding both.
In the chaos of their battle, I bring order.
I am a shadow, darkness born from light.
