Last time I checked DR had pretty high production values, including voice acting from the Voyager cast.

If "the shareholders" were cutting costs with an iron fist and only hearing profit in the wind, we wouldn't have gotten that.

Bad publicity in whose opinion? The clueless shareholders who shouldn't be involving themselves in any aspect of development? Or the casuals who probably weren't even going to try the game anyway?

That sounds like an excuse for continuing to withhold financial resources and to apply only band-aid fixes, and belies the lack of corporate backbone necessary to produce a quality product.

Bad publicity for most players and people looking at playing the game. Roll backs means that all the progress you have made on your character for that day would disappear. Rolling back to Season 9 would mean that all the progress for the past few months would disappear. Roll backs are not selective in what data they keep and what they removed. It is simply restoring the servers to a previous backup of the servers. So that would mean no more Zephram shotgun, no more Breen Carrier, and no more Kobali ship. If the vast majority of the STO players doesn't rage quit from that, then there is something extremely wrong with us. How would you feel if you finally get that lockbox ship or finally get that raid gear that took weeks of effort to get only to have the game remove it because of a lousy roll back?

Actually rolling back is simply not an option.
I do not think they actually have the required save data, and even if.... ppl invested time, as starkaos said, and also money and you just can't take all of that away.

Even when the legendary fail of SWGs NGE was acknowledged by the devs they didn't roll back although they were very aware on how much they screwed up. And I don't think cryptic gets whats wrong.... actually even the people who dislike Delta rising are not really in agreement on the "why exactly".

Cryptic needs to see the flaws and start fixing it.
IMO that means bringing t5u actually en par with t6, adding higher XP rewards on more stuff, bringing exploration back, bringing the crafting requirements on a more reasonable level... stuff like that. (thats only a list of stuff delta rising screwed up, not a general improvement list^^)

whats about a patch where it desable the specialisation tree when entering in a pvp queu and kerat (pvp zone) , 2 balance intel stuff with old sutff. or simply remove intels abilety from the game and redeseinging trier 6 ships

thats sound ok and it dont hurt ppl who have spent money or the actual PVE game play

It certainly would hurt people who spent money because they didn't buy intel ships for their looks.
It would also diminish the effort in leveling the specialization.

I think you cant imagine the sh**storm and mass exodus that would happen if they did what you suggest.

I would imagine adding a rule system would be far more effective. Rules like no Reputation passives, gear degraded to Mk X common levels, no batteries, etc. Would be a pain to program for the devs, but would be able to keep things fair instead of the problems that PvP organizers have. Of course, this system would only work for private pvp queues.
