Agreed..
But I in fact liked the game better before f2p so my opinion probably doesn't count^^
well the game have lost 40% of the player base but keep making 30 000$ a day just with the new lock box, its still sad too see cryptic totaly detroy the game, it had so much potential, after season 7 it was like perfect exept a few thing bugged
i just wish for a roll back to season 9, its not like cryptic cant afford that

Rolling back a major patch is something that Cryptic or any MMO company can't afford. Roll backs are seriously bad publicity even if it is for just a day or two. Rolling back to Season 9 is something that Cryptic will never recover from.
IMO, the changes in Delta Rising were necessary due to the level cap increase, but poorly implemented. In other MMOs, a level cap increase means that your current gear is now rendered useless and there is no character progress after reaching the new level cap. Sure you can get better gear, but it is the gear that improves not your character. With the Upgrade system and Specializations, these problems are not a concern for STO.
The story been wonderful so far. The VOs are just icing on the cake. The patrols ain't that bad as its giving me lots of EC and Dil for projects. Like gear upgrades. Doing Doffs really helps get up to level. So I'm getting stuff from them as well.
Does the expansion has bad points, yes. So did the others. But overall its been a good one.
The ones who left is the ones who couldn't adapt or didn't care to start with. I still get a laugh out of the ones who says you need to grind a certain patrol to death over and over. I leveling up and still hadn't did it 10 times.

Cryptic shouldn't ever hire you as PR manager.
Promoting and praising Grind patrol missions. WOW
My point about the patrols is.... They offer some degree of diversity.
Yes, we usually only play the 2 offering the most benefit, but in general there are about... 20? Of those missions. And while some of them are anoying (like the one with the almost inevasible orbital cannon or the one where we are supposed to get the Borg ships to 20 percent and constantly accidental destroy them....) they are actually creative and different (especially compared to previous patrol missions).
They also have some variety by having slightly different versions of most of them.
That means for our "end content" grind we can now do 20 missions instead of repeating infected over and over.
Some degree of grind will always be involved in an mmo but having but having variations on HOW to grind that stuff is a good thing.
Before we only had the 3 breen patrol missions and the IMO quiet terrible tau dewa patrols, none of them as rewarding as those once.
So there is a lot wrong with delta rising, prety much everything else and especially themintroduction of t6 ships, but the patrol and the story missions are something I actually liked about it.

Its really not that bad. Most is just over reacting on it. They say you must do Argala 10 million times to level, for example. Funny, I just hit Lv57 and only did like 6 times so far. So far I hadn't fully did my planned full on patrol route from top to bottom. Every time I get past Kobali I level up.
Its all how you see it. We all have different views. Best part is I'm gathering a lot of EC and Dil for my upgrades. I have fully upgraded my weapons from Mk X to Mk XI. And soon as I get more I will go to Mk XII. To me I don't mind the grind since it allowed me to finally to upgrade my gear.

If you're not level 60 your opinion on leveling is uninformed at best, complete nonsense at worst.

So your information is no longer valid and utter rubbish. Since you no longer have to grind to level.
And I'm sure saying you have to visit Argala over and over is your answer to level. When that is pure rubbish and nonsense. Since I have a Romulan who is Lv55 and hadn't sat foot in the new Delta Expansion.

I dont get ppl who like delta rising i just dont get it, its probably cause they dont know or they are not experienced player...
i did played more then 600 day in game time, i know its a bit much but im in good position to tell whats wrong in the game
- i have 27 character, and yes I WILL NOT GRIND anymore i did a lvl 60 with all specialisation , im done with that its not fun , i was doing pvp and i had all kind of build to adapt in all situation on diferent characters, now im down to one character
- the upgrade stuff to stay competitive cost alote of resources for no reason it was better befor season 9.5
- the game have lost 40% of its player base cause they have no desire to stay in the game cause the game play is not the same anymore
- the devs could have get some feedback befor release Delta Rising...
The game is not anymore fun to me, no more big competition left and personaly my favorite play style is not playable anymore due to the new intel abilety

There is always the option to ignore the grind and do Foundry missions. There is only as much grind in this game as you force onto yourself.
PvP has always been a joke in this game and people are deluding themselves if they think it will get better. Besides there are far better games with PvP. IMO, PvP was just something that the devs tacked onto the game at the last minute just before release without any real thought put into it and there has been very few changes since.

Yup PvP was not perfect but the lvl of competition was there and it aws fun , after my team and me won a match agaist another team, i had the feeling of satisfaction and it was good, the game had so much potentiel, and they did ruin it
The spec point pace may not bother you as much if you only do PvE stuff. This game is incredibly simple if that's your bag. Stack moar dmgz. What bothers people like me and the OP is that new abilities with clear and obvious PvP implications were never even tested in a faux-PvP environment. There is no way that anybody who had to play 10 matches against Ionic Turbulence and TS3 Neutronic would say "oh, yeah, this is acceptable gameplay".

There was more thought put into PvP at the start than you indicate, and PvP is still in the development backdrop to some degree. Look at SNB, Fluidic Rift, Elachi blackball, Impulse Cap, etc. etc.
Are these really things that people need to use whilst smashing their faces into their keyboards to complete some STF's? The devs want PvP'ers to play and spend money, but they also want us to have a Coke and a smile and shut the **** up. What was it Mr. Geko called us, "14 year old min-maxers"? Despite all that, there was decent PvP in the high-level premade environment prior to DR. We've adapted to lots of imbalance and we were ready to do so again. The problem is that the ways in which we adapted (multiple characters with assorted kits/builds, accelerated PvE grinding) are no longer feasible in any kind of realistic timeframe.

I like Delta Rising, it all depends on how you view it. Here is a game. I see fun, others see boring, etc. Its all on perceptive. Do I see it as a long grind to get to level. No, it could be much worse. One character is only 3 levels away. My other 2 isn't far behind. One hadn't even hit the Delta areas yet. So how can it be a grind when I'm just playing? Most of the time, I don't even look at the meter. For the skills trees, they don't mean much to me. It will fill out as I get to it. I'm glad I hadn't reached the end Lv yet. Then what? I'm done with the DR rep, the others don't encourage me to do them. So I will be waiting for new content. Other option is to work on my Sci character.
Over time games changes. Many games are like this. This one is no different. Some things will change for the better some won't. Playing this one since when FTP came out I saw many. Other games I saw them change since I been playing games for 20 plus years. Even consul games reflected this.
The player either adapt and keep on playing. Or leave for a short while or to never come back. Players do this on other games as well. Do I agree with the things that changed? No, but overall my enjoyment been good. Which outweighs the bad. Which is why I keep playing. I still enjoy it.

Roll backs are seriously bad publicity even if it is for just a day or two.
Bad publicity in whose opinion? The clueless shareholders who shouldn't be involving themselves in any aspect of development? Or the casuals who probably weren't even going to try the game anyway?
That sounds like an excuse for continuing to withhold financial resources and to apply only band-aid fixes, and belies the lack of corporate backbone necessary to produce a quality product.

Spec pionts, upgrading to Mk XIV, and god help you if you want anything epic and it didn't happen before you got to XIV.
It does stop at Lv 60. After that is all totally optional. And depends on what a person wants to do in the game.
It might be want you want to do. But your opinions don't match the full player base. So again your talking nonsense and uniformed.
