The original statement said we'd get the bonus on marks etc as we have in the past.
They edited the statement after the event went live and people started complaining.

Not even RESPONDING to multiple queries about the falsely advertised Eclipse was bad enough, but changing their own text about the dil bonuses after the fact? That's just a little too "blatantly-lying" to suit my tastes.

I wouldn't go as far to say lying. They screwed up on this. Nothing more, nothing less.

Actually they DID lie...
From a technical standpoint, they announced yestoday, that as usual these projects would pay out an additional 50%.
Then, it did not, and they even put an efford into hiding it.
That is lying.
Worst part is: I defended them yestoday... Should have known better.

Eh I dunno, 8 was manageable (I liked the Dyson stuff even if it was silly). 9 is where they really started kicking the grind into gear, crafting especially. But I think with DR that they really crossed the line from standard Ferengi to being like this, trying to be so ham-handed in their attempts at control. But this thing today, ya just have to laugh; its <Richard> Dastardly kind stuff, probably enough dil to qualify as a rounding error on their charts. I mean whats next, mustache-twirling contests? Its the little things that say the most about someone.
We *want* to emotionally invest in this game. We really do. You can see it in almost every post, especially the all-too-many angry ones. We are Trekkies and Trekkers and generally love all things Trek, but this abuse is well beyond tolerable.
But you can't continue emotionally investing if you are just going to be betrayed every second heartbeat, and now retroactively. There is a reason players are learning to hate Cryptic and their masters now. And this nerf to dil weekend is symbolic of it.
This is a game. it's supposed to be entertainment. You don't entertain by driving away the fans of the product. Every entertainer knows this.
