Not a RAGE.. Just a Plea.. Just fix it

kwyjenkwyjen Member Posts: 133 Arc User

1) The disappearing bridge officers when you change maps.
2) The lag when using bridge officer powers.
3) The frequent game crashes every since the 5 yr Anniversary patch, (and yes I have tried force verify at start up several times, it doesn't help or correct the problem)

Please no more new content until we get some of these things fixed.. please :(

Um... you DO know the Bug department is seperate from the department that makes new content... right? THey can multitask.

Respectfully... you're pretty much asking an Artist not to do their job until the Engineer finishes a repair job.

I am simply asking Cryptic as a company to do the right thing.. for players to enjoy the game, fix what ya got before adding to it and creating more issues to fix.

There's a bug department?!? Are you sure?! Do we have any empirical evidence of such a thing existing? At this point I think we might be better off asking the devs to break things. Use a little reverse psychology, like, "Hey devs, could you possible find the time to break [I actually tried to think of something that's not broken to put here but came up with nothing]" Maybe if they get to work trying to break something, then 10 other things would magically get fixed from implementing the code for the thing they were trying to break. It's worth a shot!

Cryptic=Multitask? Are you sure. Very seriously doubt it or you hoping too much.

That's why Cryptic's Quality Control department and Communications department are one of the worst ones. Some people or corporations cannot master mutitasking or just dont want to spend money on it.

Fine... I'll give you a better example, using a couple Devs.
You're asking Tacofangs, an Environmental Artist, NOT to do his job and get paid until Borticus, the lead Bug Squisher, fixes bugs that could take a long time to track down.

Taco has said in the past that it is not HIS job to deal with bugs. So why punish Taco for something he's not responsible for anyways?

Things take time to fix, for example the old Season 7 Accolade bug when they introduced the Rep system that broke some accolades connected to getting Omega/MACO/Honor Guard costume parts took about a year to track down.

Outright demanding 0 progress on a game to fix bugs won't work as new content has to be made to make money to PAY the guys to fix bugs. No new content means no money means game DIES and NO bugs fixed.

Just be patient and let them do their job. Things are always rocky after a major update. Happens all the time. Want it fixed sooner? Provide as much detail about bugs encountered as possible to help them track down the bug. Complaining about it doesn't make it go away faster, in fact it probably slows down the process because of lack of usable information.

ahh i dotn know plenty of work for an artist to do to fix bugs aswell. lotts of floors clip and floors missing all together on some KDF maps. costume clips. ship parts not lining up. hard points on ships, ship interiors missing things that were supposed to be there even if its missing code the the actual itme itsself is still not there even such as trophy stand on rommy bridges.
Trophies for killing FEDS ahh those were the days. Ch'ar%20POST%20LoR.JPG

We haven't gotten any new trophies for a long time now. I think they kinda gave up on them.
