That goes to the Jupiter.

This is the second ugliest. Please, never make this playable. Phase it out and use the Gal-X, Oddy, Eclipse and Guardian instead.

The Typhoon has been a pipe dream of folks since before the Oddyssey came out. Since then, hull ratings have skyrocketed (not the least of which are T5U and T6 which scale up, then give you 10% more hull depending on your rating with that ship). Boff seats have run the gamut from fixed to almost entirely universal.

So I ask: What exactly do you want that we don't already have on an existing ship?

Why a new tier 5 Commodore seating of course, Arsenal Fire At Will for example with beams, torpedoes, mines, kitchen sinks and whatnot flying and a 50% dmg bonus to any ship not Fed. 2 second cooldown. ;-)

I just want the ship skin, couldnt care less for the seating... but lets see... 4 commander univerals.

Copy scimitar boffs, console, and weapon layouts, paste onto typhoon, done. Feds should have had a true dreadnought a long time ago.

Ah yes, one of the ugliest ships in STO, behind only the Jupiter and barely prettier of some of the old Cryptic variant canon ships.

It needs a new model from the ground up. I'm okay with a new skin inspired by that monstrosity, because there are some redeeming qualities in that horrible low-poly kitbash nightmare. But that design as it is is utter garbage.

typhoon is far from ugly, ive seen far uglier designs on sto, one of them is a galaxy class skin with the tiny bent nacelles and struts, the back of the saucer has what looks like a hump. thats one fugly design! another is the federation dyson science ship, far from elegant rounded shapes that are traditional federation ship elements in design.

yeah, the only way the typhoon is making it from what little i knew and this was back last year sometime was that the typhoon needs a face lit before its added to the game in player hands.

Replace all Jupiters with the Odyssey or Gal-X (or Venture-X).

Of all the content Cryptic could be removing, those kitbashed monstrosities should have been the first on the chopping block.

It's one of the more unique of Cryptic's original starship designs. But like most player ships from 2010, even the NPC ships needed TLC for the details that time never existed for. I'd be curious to see what our current ship artists would do to polish it to their current standard?

They could create a couple of skins. So players can choose their designs for it. There is hope for this ship if they put time to it. With the new "Command" Boffs, they really could make this ship shine.

I would grind some serious Dil for this beast of a ship.

While it might be in need of a few updates, overall I think the typhoon is one of the better ships in the game. It's something unique that still totally screams classic trek.. unlike the newer designs, or worse.. whatever those things are that people have been linking. Good god, those are terrible. Especially that er, triangle thing, someone posted as a T6 defiant.

I would love to see a more detailed version of the classic typhoon along with a more updated version that's in line with the 2409/2410 ships based on the Ody's design. Heck, I'd love to see more ships matching that design all around.
