Well, that was unexpected.

I wonder what this means for H1Z1, Landmark, and EQN? Plus EQ1, 2, and Planetside? Does Smedley come with it? So many questions.

    Eh... its probably gonna be no different then when PWE picked up Cryptic from Atari. Games will still run.

    PWE is in the business of F2P gaming, though. People might not like F2P or STO (and I'd argue that a lot of the issues were from the original vision for STO, and not just PWE's involvement)... but this could have been worse. Development (overhead!) has continued, in spite of STO's failings.

    Columbus Nova is a little more unknown. Are they a hack & slash private equity firm? Are they trying to build an entertainment portfolio to hold over the long run?

    I haven't played SOE stuff since EverQuest, so the news doesn't affect me so much. It's interesting, though.
