It started out as reported below: 5 bridge officer ability slots showing up and only three of them being filled, on the Dyson Science Destroyer (I would've had no problem with getting just the commander-level abilities I'm ENTITLED to, but I can't even get those...) no matter what mode (Tactical or Science) I'm in. So I run my Galaxy Exploration Refit with the T5U setup. No problem. I'll just wait for them to fix the bug.
I log off for a bit to run some errands, come back, load up the Galaxy, and...
The SAME ABILITY PROBLEM as on the Dyson Science Destroyer is now on my Galaxy-class!
Seriously, you need to get this fixed. I've played this game since Beta (I was one of the testers) and you are beginning to make me angry. I'm as die-hard an MMO fan as they come, as well as a staunch Star Trek fan, but this is beginning to make the game seriously frustrating, especially as I'd worked hard to set up the abilities to make my ships work using specific tactics.
This problem has apparently been occurring for a YEAR and is known to have been happening. Your customer service is not exactly showing to its best here, nor is the skill of your programmers to resolve bugs that have been reported FOR A YEAR!!!!
Fix it BEFORE you implement more patches that have the potential to gum up the game even more! That's BASIC PRODUCT SUPPORT!
Much as you're right that it needs to be fixed, this is pretty much exactly what consists of a bad bug report to them...
Rather than saying 'fix this', you should simply state the problem as exactly/detailed as possible, with/without screenshots, and how to reproduce the issue (even if obvious) - that's the best way to point them to the problem and where it is. Leave opinions or statements like that out of it, no matter how justified you feel they are; they simply don't help here

Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.
while I agree on "bad bug report" - there are plenty of good bug reports about this specific one as it has been around for quite a while. This isn't reporting a bug, this is reporting a error in the company.
Ferengi and Pakled corporations - with Klingons doing costumer support - do better jobs.
This bug has been given time to evolve - now it also involves switching skills of BOffs (some of my BOffs suddently use torp high yield on ships without torps).

That's just it though; Cryptic largely goes through the bug reports, reading them and then going on to mention them to their respective devs in charge of the areas affected, without posting an acknowledgement (because they don't have time to respond to everyone)
That's the way it's been done since Open Beta - a response is not guaranteed, much as you might be used to one from elsewhere.

It's only a $25 ship (each) and a $7 upgrade (each). It's not like there aren't T6 Science ships unless you are KDF or Romulan Republic. Now that it hit a cruiser, it might get attention but it would really speed it up to hit a popular dps pewpew ship. :rolleyes:
