Support Cruiser (Ambassador) Axis Fix

This (I believe) has been brought up before, and (having had basic experience with similar features whilst modding ST:Armada II) I know how simple, easy and quick this fix would be, but the axis for the Support Cruiser is off by a significant amount, and it's noticeable.

Please see:
2139113.jpg

You can clearly see that the axis for the ship is toward the rear, simply because the front of the ship is so far to the left of the screen. The axis for the ships is always at the center-point of the players screen, thus this obviously isn't right.

I don't know whether this was an oversight, a mistake, or poor judgement, and to be honest, I don't care. What I do care about is getting it all fixed up. Please? It literally wont (or shouldn't) take five minutes. It should just be a simple case of importing the model into whatever software you use, selecting the whole thing (including the hardpoint tree) and then moving it back some paces. Do exactly the same to the Yamaguchi variant too (so that's ten-minutes work, max) and you'll not need to worry about the ship tailor breaking.

Problem Solved!

Not gonna happen. Every KDF raptor (except the new one) has this same issue, in fact far worse, and has been vehemently complained about over and over. They're not gonna spend 10 seconds on fixing this, much less ten minutes.

This. I don't know if ship models, once implemented, are being worked on ever again since implementation into the game marks the final stage of development, especially since the issue persists for years and on a "gimmick ship" (It's a good ship, but it's a promotional giveaway).

That is not meant offensive or as a rant, dear devs, just an observation and if it flawed please say so ;)

    Um...
    • Revamped the Intrepid and her variants when they made the Pathfinder to include the Aeroshuttle.
    • The so called "revamp" of the Galaxy and Galaxy-X. Specifically giving the Galaxy-X Saucer Seperation.
    • The T'varo, Mogai, and D'Deridex that used to be NPC only until Legacy of Romulus.
    • Pretty much every Lockbox ship that also exists as an NPC

I don't think anything is truely final in an MMO.
I mean, the Hirogen Apex was a generic alien ship until they did the Hirogen Lockbox.

Then they need to fix the lot.

The Ambassador was a giveaway, sure, but the Raptors weren't, nor was the Fleet Ambassador (we all paid good money for that).

It's just a shame they didn't also fix the alignment issues with the Galaxy-X model, and update the general look of the Galaxy-class model itself like they did with the Intrepid-class for Delta Rising.

All of that, though , was because they (re) sold those models. They don't just "fix" them, don't they?

They "Fixed" the Apex to actually look the part of a Hirogen ship. They improved the detail on every ship that became playable. They had to redo the Intrepid to allow for the Aeroshuttle launch as well as accept the Pathfinder parts...
Sure they weren't axis fixes but they were improved in some way.

Sure they weren't axis fixes but they were improved in some way.

But only tied to a purchase (You can't have the Aero shuttle without buying the Pathfinder, the Hirogen ship was a lockbox gamble, although one that may or may not have paid out in the end, and ships that become playable have also to be purchased.

If they would fix the alignment issues on the Dreadnaught Cruiser, the axis issues on the Raptors or the little but noticable quirks on canon models that are wrong you would have a point. As it stands I stand by my sentiment: They don't "fix" released and finished models, only if it's re-sold (and not every time, see the "galaxy bundle", though they fixed the separation graphic issues for that and making the DC separatable (which totally violates canon and logic sense) took seemingly four years of work or something like that ;) )

The Mogai and D'Deridex have C-Store variants yes, but they are available as T3 and T4 ships by default for Romulans.
