What content would I like to see revisited?
Hmm would touching up or altering old content count as such?
I was laughing earlier with my wife after making some new characters.
The starting mission of rescuing the Azura as a fed.
As an engineer you get to rescue the ship from exploding.
You will notice that you still have to get everyone off the ship and to the transporters.
During such they say hurry its about to explode!
But wait.. didn't we just fix it?
Then after you kill some more Orion that show up, you are to beam out and rescue Captain Brott.
(again.. why does she need an emergency beam out when we just saved her ship from exploding as en engineer?)
After shes beamed on board your ship, she thanks you for saving her ship and herself.
Then her ship instantly warps off....
er wait.. the captain and her crew are aboard my ship. lol someone stole the azura!
Yea.. and this is like.. mission one?
Just some silly stuff with the story line.
But I noticed it pretty heavily when I made a Vulcan sci officer as well.
You will get a lot of dialogs such as 'Yea I went with my gut feeling' and other assorted emotional things a Vulcan would never say. I realize whoever did it all did not take any account as to having Vulcan characters. The trekkie RP side of me saddens a little at the thought.
I get perhaps making dialogue for different races might be too much trouble.
But when I started playing the new content in the delta quandrant with my KDF.
Oh my... while the KDF might have a alliance with the federation... most the things you will read look they came from a Janeway script. Completely not what I want to choose from most the time as a Klingon. Full of compassion or true blue fed hype. lol. 'Don't worry ill save you! We will never let this happen!'' bah.. more like id shoot you, laugh, and walk off.
Anyways.. not sure who wrote that stuff or what thought got put into that, but most the content as KDF from a RP standpoint is.. ugh.
I am sure many of you have had your own stories of such inconsistency's.
So... id like to see a lot of content revisted.. and maybe updated.
Yea. I know. wont happen. but hey.
Its cool to dream eh?
All of Sector Space. Make it function more like a map (since it's supposed to be a map). This means snap camera to object like a system or another ship. Make everything in sector space selectable from a master list. Give all ships a high turn buff since sector space is in LY units. Why am I being bumped around from a ship at .2 LY away? You know how far away that is? Adjust the scale of the objects some and remove Earth where it's being used with the exception of the solar system. Introduce an X, Y, Z, navigation system so we can go straight there and save the point in space. This is just to name a few.
I'd rather see sector space removed from the game and replaced with bridge navigation. But, if no, then spending some time on sector space would be a project.
Nitpicking is a time-honored tradition of science fiction. Asking your readers not to worry about the "little things" is like asking a dog not to sniff at people's crotches. If there's something that appears to violate natural laws, then you can expect someone's going to point it out. That's just the way things are.
That happened back in 2399, when one of the Klingons (Ja'rod, I think) caught an Undine trying to replace him; under interrogation, the Undine revealed their thorough penetration of the upper echelons of the Hegemony, leading to the Klingon attack.
That's part of the backstory for why the Federation and the Empire are fighting as the game opens, too. The Empire reached out to the Federation for support in their war against the Hegemony, and were rebuffed; the Chancellor concluded that the Federation Council and Starfleet Command were infiltrated as well. (He wasn't far wrong...)
Yeah, the Federation refused because the Klingons didn't provide any evidence. They just went off half-cocked exactly like they did against the Cardassians forty years earlier, which, if you will recall, drove them right into the Dominion's arms.
J'mpok wanted a war. The Undine were never anything more than an excuse. Hell, the Fed PC does more good to fight the Undine in one year than the Klingons ever did.

I'd like to see the Breen/Deferi storyline continued, or split the two & tie them up with their own end branches. I'd also like to see the Tholian storyline finished, and I'd LOVE to see the Mirror Universe storyline broadened a little. It would be pretty cool if they could figure out how to work in a Mirror You to tango with, that'd be icing on the cake.
And as far as planet development goes, Defera should be beefed up a little more to be as social as ESD or DS9, and I'd really love to see Andoria & Vulcan fleshed out more as social zones.

Anychance of getting "the" STO that I originally signed up for back?
This game now bears no resemblance to the one I began playing 5 years ago.
No, you can't have the even-more-bug-laden subscription-model game that you're seeing through heavily rose-tinted glasses back. And why would you want to return to the bad old days of falling through the turbolift floor every time you ride it, of fighting enemies who are hiding beneath the landscape sniping at you from underground, of Klingons starting at lvl 1 but not getting any missions until lvl 20 (meaning you have to grind your first twenty levels out doing PvP and STFs) -- in short, of all the things that almost killed this poor game back then?
Anychance of getting "the" STO that I originally signed up for back?

I agree. I remember for the first 6 months the game was released beaming from q'nos to sector space without my ship. I would just be floating there in space. Bring that back!
And the 2 year content drought was da boss.
Hmm...I still don't understand the logic of New Romulus when really it was the Cardassians that needed a new home by the end of DS9. There was great effort put into New Romulus and then nothing and actually, Nukara was a great move! And then nothing...
Instead of continuously creating more and more new zones, leaving the previous ones defunct, expanding Nukara, New Romulus and actually the Solonae Sphere would have been better.
That brings back memories....just not sure if they are good or bad.
It's the same sort of memories I have of my first time doing Big Dig.... back when it was horribly glitchy and barely playable. It took HOURS... not because it was hard but because we kept having to wait because of glitches. Worst offender was a glitch that sometimes made people respawn inside a light pole. We'd have a 15 minute break some times just waiting for someone to successfully respawn.
I'd love to see more done with ship interiors. Things like more customization, and for God's sake, the ability to place my BOffs where I want and more things to do. Maybe special daily missions or something like that.
How about being able to sit in our Captains chair, a pop up menu with all the doff options from around ship. Perhaps also having each bridge station ala sci, eng show their respective doff missions.
And yes, placeable boffs would be a neat feature.
If you've come to the forums to complain about the AFK system, it's known to be bugged at the moment.
I was thrilled when it snuck into the patch notes a few months back, as I've never played it, and I was hoping for some non-violent (well to start) content. Feel all "Starfleet" and all.
Was disappointed when it turned out to be a mistake.
I get that it was buggy. That said, it should probably have been fixed - not pulled. We need more content - not less.

I'd also like to be able to sit in my Captain's chair and return to the outside view. Having to stand up and beam out is senseless. (I know, it was probably easier to implement that way, but hey, maybe we can get that fixed for S10?)

Don't quote me, but I remember a dev post somewhere about why it couldn't be done. Something about our captains and ships both being characters but just on different maps. I'll see if I can dig it up though.

The kdf. Laziest made faction in mmo history. Merge it with the Feds.
Remove sector space and just have us warp from one location to another. No need for all the zoning.
Remove the gateway. Too hard for cryptic to maintain a web app.
Remove the zen store. Haven't seen anything to buy in years.
Remove pvp, I guess. If it is still around.

I wish defera was solvable with your Bo's.
And yes continue the 4 year old defera story

So much more can be done with the Tholians. They deserve their own story Arc.
BRING IT BACK.
Instead of continuously creating more and more new zones, leaving the previous ones defunct, expanding Nukara, New Romulus and actually the Solonae Sphere would have been better.
Two most important things I'd like to see - bug fixes and the missing level area (Com Station IIRC).
That brings back memories....just not sure if they are good or bad.

Alpha Preadtor ?
Who leaked us all the Tal Shair / Tholian files ?
Hirogen hunting said "Alpha Predator" ?
