STOP ADDING STUFF!!! You can't even manage what you've already got! Why did you waste time and money developing this POINTLESS ability to swap gear over to a new ship ONE TIME! The most pointless useless add to date! I DON"T WANT YOU TO MESS WITH MY LOADOUTS ANYMORE! Last thing I need is to log in on the day you drop that BOMB on us and my gear to just VANISH because you're adding new links to a broken chain! FIX THE FOUNDATION BEFORE YOU BUILD ON IT!?
OR BETTER YET:
How about you just give it up, and give the coding to the players?! Half of them are more competent at patching, modding and fixing bugs that YOU ARE! FIX WHAT YOU HAVE NOW OR MORE OF US ARE GOING TO LEAVE!! WE ARE SO SICK OF THIS CIRCLE OF YOUR FAILURES!

Yep yep yep, so much yep. I would so love to code/script a good AI. I'll have them fighting like human players within a month. Massive HP was the lamest way to buff the AI. Just let me look at the code cryptic.
If! You guys think you or most of the players here are so amazing at coding etc etc then. . . .
Are you already in a job doing the same as the STO guys? If not then why? If your so good at it. . .
Or if you want to show how good you are. .
Why don't you. .
A, Apply for a job at Cryptic and with the STO team and show how you could code the game so good. .
Or. .
B, Start your own mmo and put your money where your mouth is so to speak and show cryptic how it's done. .
This thread should be closed as an idiotic waste of time, developers have to keep adding new stuff to mmo's to keep the game 'fresh' otherwise players would just get bored and leave, and as for fixing the loadouts the devs have been working on that for a while (and if i'm not mistaken have found a fix, or are close to one), I suggest you do your research before flaming the developers...
Additionally, this is the bug reports section, this TRIBBLE doesn't belong here since the system hasn't even been released for holodeck yet.
Lastly, I find it amusing that any person with a moderate knowhow of computer code believes he/she can do a better job at coding than people who have been in the industry for years, seriously, MMO's are massivlely complicated and even the developers who make them often have difficulties coding them because of the complexity and sheer amount of code involved...

Nope nope nope. Here's is what's gonna happen if I worked for them:
I'll be given orders not to work on stuff that don't equal money, 'Improving' the game would be the last thing I'll be ordered to do. All my time would be directed towards what ever the lead director says. PVP is not cared about or focused on, so I wont be able to fix it unless given orders to-- It will never happen. Everyone can obviously see that.
Even if I wanted to fix most of the bugs in STO I'll be order not to. The one in charge would rather me focus in new stuff, because new stuff = money. I can obviously see that and I don't work for them. Money is primary, everything else is secondary, tertiary, quadiary, pentiary, and hexgoniary. Okay those last 3 words are made up, but you get what I'm saying.
Working for Cryptic is the last thing I want to do. I rather be some Freelance force working on one part of the game with no time limit and no pressure from anyone. It's how mod creators do amazing work.
OK sooo you don't work for them that's cool but your guessing what they can and can't do with the time they get on each bug etc etc thus meaning your comment about being ordered to do something is meaningless as you have zero!! Idea about their work plan and schedules.
Again your comment about fixing old bugs etc is meaningless due to your lack of knowledge as to how the company works.

You saying you don't want to work for cryptic again that's cool butttttt every job has timescales and schedules to work towards so you wouldn't find a job freelance or other with the power to work to no time scale unfortunately that's the way businesses work to make money and every company needs money to function.
Even if you were to start your own company no one would employ you to do anything if you had no time structure etc to work towards to show how your going to make money.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion however when making one you normally have to make it with a valid reasonable argument not conjecture and speculation.
Going by how extremely horrible the game is right now. They need to change how the run things to be honest. I mean these people don't even play the god darn game for god sake. It's like me cooking and never tasting the food. In my honest opinion they need to scrap whatever structure that they have in place, and rethink things.
They're just blindly adding so much TRIBBLE to the game-- it's piling up into one big cluster %$#@ players don't want to bother with. That's Scary.
NOT PLAYING, FIXING OR TESTING THEIR OWN GAME IS THE DUMBEST TRIBBLE I EVER HEARD A 'GAMING' COMPANY DO IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE. Not even EA does that. At least they fix the problems.
Aye blah blah blah... Listen the game is going down hill. That's just a fact. Whatever they're doing it's not working anymore. No customers, no money, and no business anyway. I'm worried about STO, Not their crappy structure in place. I don't want to be a part of it, I'll get nothing done anyway. It's called the outside or 3rd party. That would be me. A better STO is my priority, not money. I have enough of that for 4 generations of my family.
Here's exactly what I want:
I fix the bugs, they can pay me when it's fixed. No pressure, no time limit. I offer to script a better AI, they can pay me when it's done. These are all things they not bothering with anyway. The stuff they're never getting around to because of their horrid 'structure' is in place. Why not just let the people with the time get it done? Paying me is optional by the way, I just care about the game.
I know exactly why I don't want to work for them officially. I'm speaking English, or it's just not registering? It's like "Hey I'll fix these bugs & improve the AI so you can focus on that making money BS."
TL;DR : I don't give a %*#$ about their businesses structure or Money, I just want to fix and improve the game without being a part of them officially.
