THat Rifle s supposed to be the Same Rifle that we saw in TOS "Where no man has gone before " right?
So i can´t believe that nobody noticed that the Grip/Handle is on the wrong end.
THis is how it is supposed to look, Handle on the front, near the Barrel:

that's why. :P
Also Kirk carried it a lot like the way we carry miniguns, and not like a rifle.

So what? It was the first Phaser rifle ever and there were many clear shots of it in that episode. THey obviously had some reference for the Rifle to get the Barrel and everything else so accurate as possible but then they put the Handle on the wrong end? I admit the way kirk used it looked unusual and uncomfortable and if it was jsut about the handling i´d prefer the way it is now but sinc eits supposed to be a Replica of the 2260s rifle they should change it.
And even if it just appeared in that one early episode, i never used the Rifle much, only got it now because i could upgrade it to make it more useful and i saw the error immediately though i hadn´t seen that Episode in years
And why is it an error? They saw the episode, or the rifle wouldnt exist anyway. Maybe they were allowed to alter it to fit the other designs.
They always work with photo references and discuss every item in the design meetings and they need clearance by CBS to put it in the game, especially for things taken from the shows.
To get close to what we saw on screen, we might have to use the Pulsewave animations, heavily modified to take the different grip postion into account. But what happens when you aim with a pulsewave? It switches to Rifle animations. And in the on screen configuration, that would cause some SERIOUS clipping of the stock into the player's shoulder.
Some could argue that the Omega Carbine was similar, but that still used the rifle stance, just tweaked one hand to be angled more. And again with the Compression Rifle, which tweaked the same hand. But they both still use Rifle animations.
Ok the Carbine uses pistol melee animations, but that's beside the point.

Come on, some things are legit points, not everything is incoherent rambling. The description of this forum reads "Do you have feedback about a uniform? Perhaps a ship's hull plating? Or you noticed a Vulcan design on a Romulan building? Share your feedback here! - that's exactly what the OP does. This forum asks you to nitpick, and having something that was clearly shown on-screen being replicated incorrect in the game is a legit point.
Granted, I haven't noticed this but I don't use the TOS rifle much. But I'd like to see a TNG Type-III one day and that uses a similiar layout with a grip close to the muzzle and they could share the animation. Maybe if the day comes they could rework the TOS rifle as well.

Tsk. We want Caitian manes. He wants a canon rifle to be better rendered. He is just as entitled to point out the discrepancy. In fact, OP has proven the error exists. I'm not a graphic artist. So I don't know if a real problem exists in fixing it. Or if one did exist when it was created that may not currently?
There are a lot more costume issues in the issue thread that are larger than a small handle that almost nobody will notice.
This is a significant inaccuracy, and there is no reason for it, as the Borg carbine, for example, is exactly the right animation for a frontward handle on a long stock.
replace "handle" with "Caitain / Ferasan" and boom.
Replace handle with Enterprise M.A.C.O. and boom.
