Rubidium. . where??

Sorry if this in the wrong section but to me this seems like a bug to me.

OK let's talk Rubidium....

I have tried to get this material yet the drop for it is almost non existent.

After running pve's almost all week I have racked up a massive total of 7 of these yet 100's of the rest, I even have more of certain Very Rare mats than this item.

So can someone confirm this issue as it can't just be me and stipudly bad luck.

Without this Mat it makes it almost impossible to craft certain things.

Rubidium does drop from boxes and from doffing the right type of mission too

Nah, basically it's this: Rubidium and Z-particles have drop rates like very rare materials, but aren't very rare materials, so you can't even get them at a guaranteed rate from advanced/elite queue boxes.

Bad luck is all, I get them on a somewhat very frequent basis.

Have sold probably, well over a 1k of these on the exchange, when I need some extra dough.

Don't know about anyone else, but I've gotten a crapload of rubidium just by playing Crystalline Catastrophe Advanced on a regular basis. Definitely still the rarest of rare-level materials though.

Play that, and also do as many doff assignments as possible that reward crafting materials. Skip the the 20hr "archaeological dig" ones though, they're not worth the time.

Only 7 of them in a week?
You must have some of the worst luck around, as I have no problem getting them.
Every few STF runs I do I get a box that has 4-7 of them.
Gotten 50-100 of them in the last week myself.

I find it (randomly)
- in story missions and system patrols as anomalies to scan.
- as a critical success in doff missions
- as a Request R & D Assistance reward

I'm not doing advanced STFs yet so I can't comment on them.

Doffing sci missions in the solanae sphere usually is a good source for R&D mats. It's still a RNG what you'll get but I've got plenty rubidium from there, with like 4 or 5 toons simultaneously I admit.
Also Crystalline Catastrophe Advanced, easiest pugable mission in the game and always well visited. Even if you don't want/need the marks it's still worth to farm there.

The first STF I did yesterday was Infected: The Conduit [Advanced] and I got 3 Rubidium from the advanced R&D box.

There are a lot of various doff assignments that reward R&D materials (usually Science and Exploration assignments) and upon critical success I often times get rare (blue) quality R&D materials. If you have multiple characters and focus on those types of assignments each day you should be able to get some Rubidium eventually.

I always struggle to get rubidium too!

Got hundreds of VR mats, but rubidium rarely drops for me. I have a similar problem with tetrazine, but thankfully that's a lot cheaper on the exchange than rubidium

hey, I offered to sell you 100, for 4 million, cheaper than the exchange :P

but yeah, mainly doffs and fleet marks boxes.

Run DOFF missions -
1. the more the merrier,
2. the rarer the mission/the longer it takes, the better,

Eventually you'll get rubidium, and in nice amounts too...
