Well... from here it looks quite dreadful. Surgical Strikes cutting me apart and the "easy" way around it seems going for piloting. That

In my tests, Surgical Strikes 3 is not that more powerful then CRF 3, CSV3, or even BO3, TS3 and HY3 with/without trait on on non-moving target without shields.

It seems that this armor penetration trait res debuff stacks when more people shoot the same target and additional CrtD gained from accuracy overflow makes SS just bit more deadly then mentioned abilities.

My tests have shown that target gets debuffed just in the moment of hit. My target reported that his kinetic resistance goes down from 60.7 to 18 in the moment of hit.

"Even with Delta Rising, Player Vs. Player content is still needing a good deal of work. Can you share any details as to what players can expect from a possible PvP update?

STEPHEN - “ As we plan our releases throughout the year, we look at systems that need improvement, as you mentioned in a previous question, and slot them into our schedule. There are a variety of systems that we would like to come back and improve after five years, and PvP is definitely part of the discussion. While it hasn’t made it to the top of the list quite yet, we regularly consider it for our updates and look forward to the opportunity to make the improvements the community wants. ”

Haha like we still take that horse****.

not only that but now for the broken TRIBBLE in game pvp players are to blame.Basically not only there is no more pvp but the 0.000000000000000000000000000001% left is to blame for all the power creep.

oh and if you get vaped with the broken stuffs its because you suck - Geko 2015 priority one podcast.

id say this week is EASILY the best pvp attention week we have had in a year, so many fixes on the way for some pretty key game breakers.

its not exactly real attention, but its worth acknowledging.

agreed completely. they are fixing gamebreakers for pvp, but not only, seeing how many threads are being created where people complain on quasielitist condescending DPS behaviour rising to levels where it can't be tolerated in public PvE.

It is. Which is both awesome and sad.

We're getting fixes to some crippling bugs, but if fixing obviously broken things is the most attention we've gotten, that says something.

I agree, and this is a good signal :). At least we know they are listening us, even if they schedule these fixes so late. Yeah, someone can think "no nando, this is not enough" and i'd agree with him, but let me say we are not so abandoned :P
But before, let's see if these changes will really bring a sort of balance in the qs...

IMO I don't think this is a good idea. This just breeds elitism and damages the PvP community as a whole.
Leaderboards can do a lot of good things:
    1) Long-Term Motivation. Seeing onself go up in the leaderboard creates something to work for .
    2) If the position in a leaderboard is used for match-making, it avoids PUG-stomps that supposedly everyone hates because they are either boring or frustrating or both.

Yes, the guys on the top of the leaderboards will probably consider themselves (and often will be considered) an Eiite. But is that new? OR bad? TSI, Sad Pandas, HOBOs? Haven't hey all been "Elite" once and be called as such or called themselves as such? So it doesn't seem new to me. Of course, there were always the back & forth "you're not as good as you think you are" "don't you remember how we beat you" and all that stuff. But would a leaderboard make that worse, or would it actually be a way to factually show whether someone got better or not?

And on the dev side, a leaderboard can also help identify outliers. "Interesting, people that have bought the new uber ship with the uber console are somehow suddenly more succesful and rapidly rise in their rank? I wonder if there is something amiss?"

A leaderboard (without a match-maker at least) could be one of the easiest extensions Cryptic could do - it means tracking data that already exists and displaying it to players.

A rebalancing effort of the game (be it for the whole game, or with PVP specific variables for powers and what not) seems like a much more challenging task, requiring a lot of data mining and analysis and a lot of testing.

Aside from the whole difficulty of balancing PvP the problem for Cryptic is most likely also that there aren't many PvP players left. Sure, there is hope that if they revamp it, lapsed players return and new players are attracted to it - but they already have lots players in other areas, and they need to retain them - investment into PvP seems always more risky than investment into other areas, and is the potential gain so much higher?

The only thing that gives me some hope is that they talked about no longer wanting to have orphaned systems - and PvP clearly is an orphan. But if the bean counters decide that PvP is not worth saving, maybe the only way to have PvP not be an orphan is for it to go he way of exploration?

I'd say that would still be for the best, however. Because then it's a honest, clean cut, and no one here gets strung along for the vain hope that maybe, one day, PvP will improve. Of course - that's also the very reason to keep it around as orphan.

to the OP.. pvp isn't going to make it to the top of the list, because hardly any pvpers are around anymore... cryptic promised and promised to make pvp better in the future for years and all the pvpers finally gave up and left. I am sure someone can point you to a link of all the promises made and never fulfilled by cryptic. Basically, cryptic can just rot in its own stew of B.S.

I AM NOT A FAN OF PWE!!!!

I don't pvp though, because pvp in STO is a joke.
