Undine infiltration Elite bugged

The mission failed for me since we did not "defend the orb" the orb was intact the undineds where geting massacred out of the room by 2 engis and 2 tac players, the entrance to the orb room was behind a cover shield. I run up to the last bajoran to question (9/10 where already succesfully questioned) initiated conversation with him and the mission failed.

Unfortunately, I don't think that is a bug. With the new Elite difficulties, the optionals on easy become mandatory on advanced, and the optionals on advanced become mandatory on elite. Protecting the orb is mandatory, so effectively, you skipped it, causing the mission to fail. It sucks, but it's working as intended.

They really should get rid of the limit there though. Talking to the last person shouldn't cause you to fail the optional in progress. That just seems mean for pugging.

Was the Orb Guardian alive? He counts as the orb.
