Mac client keep crashing when entering winter wonderland

Hi Cryptic,
Not sure if this is the right place for reporting this...hope I got it right.
The mac client was all right before the DR, it was not perfect, making my computer running extremely hot but worked fine. However after DR it changed. The game randomly crash quite frequent, and start from yesterday it happened so often that became unbearable.
At first it still happened quite randomly, my main toon (a starfleet science officer) was in the winter wonderland, everything was fine but suddenly it started to lag A LOT (my internet was running perfect so it was not a network problem), then I got the first of the many crashing notices since yesterday. I restarted the client, verified the game, discovered that I was kicked out of the winter wonderland and was in ESD then. I tried to talk to Q and get in again, guess what? The client froze and crashed.
That was the last time I successfully logged into that tone. After that everytime I tried the game froze at about 96%-98% loading and crash.
So I tried to log into my other toons. My Romulan boy in Romulan command and Orion girl in the First City were fine to log in, but when I tried to take the Romulan to the Winter Wonderland the game crashed at 97% loading. Didn't dare to try that on my Klingon then.
My Andorian character is in the Delta sector space and can be logged in, however when I tried to use the quantum slip the gamed froze and crashed. My last toon is at ESD. I can log into that tone but can't stay there for long since the crash notice will pop up within 10 seconds.
I'm not sure what makes it keep crashing, maybe too many player on the same map? Not sure, but what I am sure that every time I try to enter the Winter Wonderland it crashes. I got into there fine since the start of the event until yesterday. I know the mac client gets small lag moments from now and then which makes it hard to play but now every lag I get is followed by a crash. I verified the client every time I restarted the launch, didn't help.
I really hope you could help me to resolve this because I don't want to miss all the fun. I'm using a Mac OS system. There is a message at the bottom every time when I enter the loading screen (when the DR logo shows up) like "pixel shader failure xxxxxxx(a long number)" but it has been there for a while, not sure if this is related to the problem. The game has been crashed for about 20 time since yesterday please help me on this.
