Maybe I have been away too long, but this seems crazy! This from just level 53 to 54. Does it keep increasing? It seems crazy given that each story mission only goes about 9k max. So where do we grind the other 80k skill points per level? I am thinking of not bothering advancing and just playing the winter stuff.:( doom!

My guess is "hope" keeps people not playing but posting on the forums. For others, its a path of sad realization and closure. Grieving takes time. The worst "haters" here love the game, or did at some point.

Welcome to the new end-game! Oh. Yeah the forums is like PvP Kerrat.
sitting and staring at the screen doesn't earn you exp, fyi
Well your right there give that member a cookie. I myself will simply load doff missions everyday till I get to the next level why you ask?? Becouse I refuse repeat refuse repeat one more time for Geko refuse to grind my life away on a darn patrol mission.
There are far more better things to do with my life other then grinding my life away

Neither does doing content outside the DQ apparently.
aside from one argala run (to test the latest boost to patrol exp) I haven't touched the DQ in weeks, and before WW started I was getting a spec point every 2 to 3 days just farming VR mats in advanced.... if you really have been stuck at the same lvl for 3 weeks, your either not playing the game at all, or doing something very wrong
Well my "game is doomed" thread was supposed to be sarcastic, but after seeing some of this stuff I am beginning to wonder. Perhaps I should change the doom thread Op?:P

What can I tell ya, 3+ hours a night in the Dyson contested zone goes by quick, but only good for 10K a night. It kills alot of time and gets me nowhere which is what cryptic wants to see, but thousands of kills later im still here- halfway to the next rank.
oops, sorry if I'm not raging about it. It's just so sad it's funny.
I feel your pain. Getting my main to level 60 back when DR went live was relatively easy and painless (compared to today). Now a story mission earns me between 5000 and 6000 XP on advanced difficulty and I need 50k XP to level up. I wouldn't mind that it took so long if there were some actual story missions to fill the leaping XP gaps. I'm sick and tired of doing the same couple of patrol missions again and again and again... and then again. Even doffing doesn't get you far anymore.

"well, that thars ur problem" , i don't spent much time there (or any ground stuff really)but from what others have told me, dyson bg if good for farming dilithium, bad for exp, ground kills give next to nothing, if you want exp, do something space related

What is the best Patrol mission? They give around 3k I think, but can they be repeated?
Welcome to the Grindy Way Galaxy; mind you, to progress in crafting from level 13 to 14 takes 99k XP, leaving only 1.48 million XP to grind in the final 6 levels...

The devs expect you to run Argala a few hundred times per level.
I'd think Argala would be nice for starship mastery levels, but not character levels. Other patrol missions would be better, if you're gonna bother with patrols at all. Ship kills aren't as big of a thing as they were the first week or so of DR.
Personally, I just DOFF, do skipped missions, and just play queued content. Seems to be working pretty well for me.
Neither does doing content outside the DQ apparently.
How does 1.5 specialization points in 45 minutes sound? Granted i teamed up for that, but that piece of content is outside DQ.
Bottom line is there's plenty of content to mix things up and gain XP/skill points at the same time.
Foundry, episode reruns at higher difficulty, smashing dinos, tickling planet killers (Voth and undine BZ for those who didn't get the cryptic description) and so forth.
Have fun and the levels will add up before you know it.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

they nerf'd xp you get for killing mobs below your level... so you get reduced xp as the mob is below you from 1 to 5 levels... i think you get 0 xp if the mob is at 5 or maybe 6 levels below you.
this is actual levels... even if your in special zones where they "de-level" you... if your real level is above the mobs in the zone... reduced to 0 xp.

Can regular Patrol missions be repeated? Also, I suppose some of the rommies systems still could give some xp. But it just seems sooo stupid. I am on Kobali and finish the level 53 mission - then it asks you to start the next mission - but wait you need to leave kobali and get 80k more skill points for that!! Unbelievable!!
I'm not apologizing for PWE or Cryptic, but TBH you self entitled babies sicken me.
are you all rich kiddies and daddy when and bought you a Mercedes for your 16th birthday? get everything you wish for RIGHT NOW because mommy doesn't want her baby upset???
leveling SHOULD be HARD. I guess none of you live in the real world where LIFE is hard
Hey games like LOTRO at higher levels require a million or more XP to advance a level.
I now have four out of eight characters at 60 and the rest will soon be 59s. Doesn't bother me in the least; when they get there, they get there.
Did a few DR missions last night with a 59 Fed Science Vulcan. I think I got about 14% of the bar. The other day that character picked up and did four Breen missions that I had never done, again at 59. Though only one was a repeat only got less than 10% for all. When added to my log they were there as 59 level mission (figured I better get the Breen Space set, with the core and carrier around the corner).

Stupid big numbers =! hard.
That's the point of the complaints with levelling, crafting, upgrading, the way Cryptic does mob scaling, in fact probably a majority of the complaint are based around the fact that in no way does long, repetitive, boring, and clicky content equate to difficult content.
By your logic, generating "free" Zen doing surveys should be considered a "fun" part of the "game" because it is tedious, clicky, devoid of innovation, and relies on doing lots of the same thing, over and over again, and is, again, by your definition is "hard".
Maybe we can get Elite surveys that result in double the Zen and and differ only in that they have 17x more questions?
