Some annoying things about Winter Wonderland

For the most part, I love Winter Wonderland. It is extremely fun to shoot Snowmen of Borg with a gumdrop shotgun, and the sheer number of outfit and pet options is great. And it's also fun to simply have my character go out ice skating (or falling flat on his face, without the winter boots).

However, there are two things that have been annoying me:

1. For some reason, Frosted Boots have no effect in Fastest Game on Ice. Even with them active, I still keep slipping and sliding all over the place, which makes it extremely difficult to win said race.

2. Even though I've gotten all of the requisite materials, I still can't get any of the new items (ie the new jackets, some of the new weapons, the new nanopulse lirpa, etc). The items aren't highlighted, and the "Buy" option remains unclickable.

I'm guessing the first part is just for game balance, but does anyone know anything about the latter? Why can't I buy any of the new things?

some of the stuff needs you to run tides of ice a certain number of times double left click on said item and it will tell you what is required.

the frosted boots decrease traction, so you slip more, not less

its the drawback to counter the increase in running speed

Yea you need to run tide of ice 1/5/10 times depending on what you want. But patch notes on Tribble say the acclo is account unlock starting thursday

Really i call it winter BlunderLand, I cant believe the TRIBBLE im going through to get that ship and warp core they have major balls for making it. The GM"s are Fools for thinking this is fun, I did not spend money on this for Garbage like this normally i get kissed before i get screwed

There are a lot of people on teamspeak that feel like this as well :mad:

1. Frosted boots DECREASE traction not increase it, or do you not know how to read?

2. You have to complete the borg snowman defense in order to get access to certain items.

OP, next time do some reading, might get rid of some confusion.

C'Mon man.......After all the BS called Dilithium Rising, Winter Wonderland is fun and easy. In just 2 days 2 of my captains have the warp core, and that is with half assed trying.

Frosted boots are not meant for traction. Have problems with them, then DON'T use them.

getting the items that are locked is simple, run the Snorg event 10 times. But because of whiners, they are changing it so people only have to run it 10 times for an account-wide unlock. there are accolades for running it 10 times, so why not just do it anyways? Plus it gives out good rewards.

To all the people complaining about Winter Wonderland, stop bitchin' over this. This is nothing compared to the other grind called the game. I actually enjoy logging in because of this event.
