seriously this ice race is really annoying how is any one suppose to win it I've tryed 5 times and couldn't even win:mad: so I'm just gonna forget about this stupid race and just get the lobi from the lockbox and unlock the ship:mad:
Just jump without touching any directiononal key. You will instantly come to a stop, change your direction and then sprint. You can easily make it around the course that way. It is very important then when you jump you don't touch any direction until you land or it does not work.
Don't jump around. You kill your momentum, you go slow, and you look like an idiot.
Don't roll through the corners. Rolling's for chumps. Even with the speed boost from the CC armor you just slow down too much.
What you need to do is pretend you're driving an overpowered RWD car on a drift track, and handle yourself accordingly.
Get the Physical Conditioning trait from the T1 Delta rep. Get the frosted boots. Put them on and activate them. Sprint the whole way flat out. Turn in five meters or so before the track curves, and clip the snow on the apex. This will slow you just enough and give you just enough traction to slide you back to the middle of the track before you pick up speed again. You can even turn yourself right around if you feel you're sliding too close to the opposite edge. Oversteer is your friend. Learn to use it, and love the powerslide.
Do this, and you'll find yourself blowing past the critter the guy in front of you was racing, and often the guy as well if he's bouncing or rolling around on the ice like a loser. Learn to clip the corners and find the line through the icebergs on the PvP course and you'll be coming in first nine times out of ten.
...Oh, baby, you know, I've really got to leave you / Oh, I can hear it callin 'me / I said don't you hear it callin' me the way it used to do?...

To me its far from stupid. Its easy and fast, so I can get the ship. I only have a few mins during the week to get on and get the race done. I'm glad its this way, so I can get the ship. Where otherwise I would never be able to get it. Unless I saved what I could and do it again next year.
The track is easy once you get used to it. The first time I done it, I failed due to I forgot the hair pin turn by the lake. The next time was due to snowmen attacking me. Since then I had no issues. I'm on track to get the ship shortly after Christmas. The track is there at all times. So you can practice all you want to get used to it. This is what I did the first time I went there 2 events ago. Even the summer event. I did 2 round with the hover board track. Before I joined in the fun with other players. So I knew where I was going and wouldn't get lost.

Its uninspired TRIBBLE for 5 year old konsole players. No Humor.. no fun.. nothin.
That's just your opinion and it seems like you can't accept that there are others and so you need to offend other ppl in the first place.
AND:. since it startet the Game is unplayable.. i dont know if it is the same in USA.. but in Germany you can forgett to play it.
30 people i know.. and 29 of em cant play at all cause of laggs.
I feel bad for you that it doesn't work for you, but over here everything is fine and I am from Germany too and I know a bunch of other german players that don't have any problems too.
The discussions about this topic are the same every day - one group has problems, the other doesn't.
Since DR everything went worse and worse.... TRIBBLE and im glad i never TRIBBLE to buy a livetime sup.
Agree with you on these points. That's why I left and that's why I'll just be back for summer and winter events to have fun with my fleet and other mates.

Several ways of completing ice racing fast have been described in this thread.
Anyone having trouble can pick and choose whichever works best for him.
A) Personally, I use the method best explained in the quoted post. If I TRIBBLE up, I can always roll back inside the track.
As nicely shown in gt500dotorg videos, rolling at every corner also works.
C) And as proposed by others, the jump method can also yield great results (I never managed to learn that one, though).

THEN WHY start a thread and complaint about it when you are able to do it 3x? Schizoid thread?
How much time was there between his posts? Maybe he already got the help he needed, and is able to run the race now?

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!
apart from the broken bones its the best way.
thats even if you can find any icey hardened snow where you are.
When I think about everything we've been through together,
maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,
and if that journey takes a little longer,
so we can do something we all believe in,
I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.
