At the risk of getting in trouble, I gather most of the complaining (and I'm not saying there isn't issues, there is) are people who are new to how Real MMORPG's work. You think this grind and difficulty is hard? Try playing FFXI or XIV Online, and then talk. STO is a walk in the park compared to that. The forusm tend to show unfathomable stupidity sometimes and a good comment gets lost in the sea of what i like to call the "Gimmie it now" privilage. People wanted the one shot PVE's taken care of, they were, so rather than learn to run them right, people want the rewards instaniously and the queues get failed because there's no teamwork. People wanted level caps increased. That always brigns a harder challenge. That's how it works. Part of me doesn't g et one thing, If you want to solo everything, why join an MMORPG? Those are about teamwork. That's jsut my opinion and I don't care if people don't like it.

I'm not here to play a MMO. I'm here to play a Star Trek game.

Actually, I've said plenty in regards to Dan Stahl. But don't let that stop your character assassination attempts. Again.

But you didn't say much about his quotes being offered up for years -- which was my point in the previous post .

... while the post I "assassinated" talked about your concerns about a relatively recent quote . No biggy ...

p.s. and while I cannot vouch for the recommendation here (Posted by jrioux) , you might want to look into / contact / do some research on this product .
    Hope it helps . :)

If you want to be a STO forum moderator, I think if you send Smirk a private message it might be helpful.

    Breaking News!

"DELTA RISING IS THE BEST EXPANSION EVER AND THE PLAYERS LOVE IT!"

    ( no we don't )
The dress is gold and white. Over 70% people says so. When viewed from a certain screen angle it appears blue and black. The dress displayed on amazon is a blue and black dress, but it's not the same dress in the picture. If you're seeing blue & black you're slightly colored blind. A normal upright screen = white and gold.

try and get a bit more experience in gaming before you proclaim sto is an easy or rewarding grind compared to time and effort. much less put forth that incredibly STUPID argument that 'mmorpgs' are purely social, they aren't. depending on whose statisytics 25% to 40% of mmo gamers SOLO.

many reasons for that, time zone differences not able to get a pug at all hours, personal challenge whatever the case soloers for whatever reason they do it are a valuable part of any mmo. another point of fact, most all modern mmo's and several older ones make previsions for soloers.

ie: content at endgame that doesn't require a group, solo specific dungeons/missions and/or missions/instances that do not have a requirement for a specific number of players to enter.

you want pure social, go to facebook, this is a game, not a dating service, a chat room (excluding esd) or a bar. it's a GAME. you play to enjoy it, if YOUR version requires YOU to be social, good on you. i hear hello kitty is pretty social. others personal preference for how they enjoy the game is theirs.

final point, mmo's that create content for both the ones to afraid to go it alone and the soloers do better financially (if the game is good) than games that have zero solo or zero grouping content.

At the risk of telling the obvious, but I thought this game was Star Trek Online, not FFXI/XIV. But then, I may have took the wrong forum.

You can always find worse. Doesn't mean what you have is good. Just saying.

Have a good day, and remember, everything is awesome !

I concur. Take your philosphical debates and petty bickering to another thread, plenty of space in the forum. Let this thread remain in lighthearted fun and a way of venting for the playerbase without ruining it with endless philosophies or by devloving in arguments.

My guess is "hope" keeps people not playing but posting on the forums. For others, its a path of sad realization and closure. Grieving takes time. The worst "haters" here love the game, or did at some point.
