For me this phase is done,and the lack of anything left to acquire (for my sole single character) means in between the non existant pvp there is only a void.
I hold out hope, what tiny shreds remain.. hope for a new specialization tree! Hope for a proper array of kdf and romulan t6 ships to come one day! Hope for continual readjustments to the game and meta (we need more xp ! we need ionic and surgical strikes nerfed!)

Some folks never play PvP since forever even though they are very present on PvP forum.
Maybe they PvP(d) in dark corners of Ker'rat but never joining organized games or queuing in Arena and then saying that PvP is dead is a bit strange now.
I also see some "PvP" people coming back for every dilithium event or Q's wonderbullsh*t and those things can't be further away from PvP, or even PvE for that matter.
Seeing how many of regular known PvPers do it on daily basis, I can safely say that some forum people don't PvP by choice, not by lack of opportunity.
And yeah, there is OP stuff in game, like it always has been, but good healers can still heal, and good killers can still kill, good scis can still do more stuff then just pressing TBR and FBP.
Game is much faster now for average random teams or 1v1s coz of specialisations and some traits, but in balanced teams, PvP is not even close to broken.

Partigen trait with gold partigen consoles, isokinetic cannon and neutronic spread is way way way more broken then anything in T6 is, but rare people have it and still rarely exploit it the right way, although you can already see those three things are broken because EVERYONE is using one or the other or all three.
I still don't have partigen trait and uber consoles on my romulan(or any toon) but when i get it, I'll come in Pvp, load thalaron and then it will be obvious how much partigens are broken.
Lets just say that having +75 PrtG per console x5 with trait is the equal of having 5 75%kinetic/energy tac consoles that have 100% crth on them. Load CSV an spread and you have a winner, against everyone.
Intel ships in themselves(without traits) just do some new stuff that in team gameplay can be dealt with, UNLIKE 100% accurate spreads that will follow you cloaked, after jump..always.
In any other torpedo it's really no problem unles you're on low hull, but neutronic makes so high damage without kinetic consoles that it can be used on any ship, always.
I have watched a lot of footage from my captured games, and I can safely confirm that t6 abilities for themselves are rather harmless compared to three things i mentioned.
On the other hand, you can't deal with 100% hitting torpedo spread(it hits you even on 200+% defense) 100% penetrating iso cannon, and 100% bullsh*t doffed TBR in hard situations.
Just to mention 2 more things:
Gather Intel ability is one of the best solo/team mechanics that has ever graced STO PvP.
Ability to surgically remove SC,Tac or ENG buffs after 15 sec of exposing makes it best tactical, actual skill/team skill based ability.
It is complete opposite of fly/shoot/heal spam based on CD timers, it is the ability that negates bindkey mashing.
Also, all those things that need tweaking don't stop us having nice, tight games.

Mixed t5/t6 teams, balanced on hilberts board.
Game is much quicker now in many ways, if you don't have an air tight plan and good backup plan when approaching situation you will fail.
that is the problem when adapting to pvp in DR. Can't say that i have adapted even 60% yet, but it is easily doable with different mindset then before.
give me t6 traits and all the t6 bs in game and you go with your t5 U ship...Im sure you will win with your super dupper skillZ.:rolleyes:

1) 1v1 t5vst6 is unreasonable to try, which spalato and me have clearly demonstrated.
2) queue pops the times I'm on when i queue up.
if not then we make games on OPvP, like every night.
3) in team, disables and traits don't matter at all, they simply don't have the magnitude like in 1v1.
Focus fire will still kill the enemy, and focus defense will keep you alive, and better equipped/skilled player/team will win against weaker like always.
4) like i said many times, there are things that need heavy tweaking, especially traits.
but in actual team play all that cheese is not 1% as bad as all might of cheese in 1v1.

And what is really interesting, OPvP is hive, more active then any other channel i'm on including zones and STFs.

BTW. PvP now requires different mindset, if you didn't have airtight super t5 build before and like I see you didn't, you cannot expect surviving in it now simply by upgrading. Wells healer could be useful before, now it's just a glass chin healer. It is the same as you would try to make Defiant drainer.
Tanks like Tal shiar cruiser and Recluse with over double the hull still do great.
PvP has always been balanced no matter the STO time frame if you Hand balance the matches. Its not a shock to hear you can still hand balance a half decent match. That will always be the case. Balance the annoyance dps and heals and yes all the junk starts to cancel out.
The main issue I have with the way things are right now... its just not fun.
No my 2 weeks leave has not dulled my brain... I understand the current mechanics quite well. Yes I'm also talking about premades. When things change I start the theory crafting like many vets do. I can think of teams that would be so annoying to play against that it simply wouldn't be fun on either side. At least previously most annoying setups had super hard counters.
Trust me shark if I cared to log back in and play my PM traited / VM torped / Reprocity running / Super torping / Delta Canon slapping Scryer I could make people cry all day... or I could roll play in some more standard ship. To me its just not all that fun anymore.

Still I would come back to there game if they showed they had even a minor understanding that video games are supposed to be fun. (Grind fest pve... and Stun fest PvP are both neither)

I can also post a video of inner circle tryin to kill a wells same as mine if u like- not me piloting it but exact same build to the very skillpoint oh and they didnt succeed btw so dont say ive TRIBBLE builds that you havnt seen mon ami im just stating facts i see- my timezone-gmt- all ques are dead not just pvp very lucky to get a pop. New skills are wothput any doubt op- im not saying its broke doom no going back- with a little balance work all this could be improved drastically
