Failing STF=leaver penalty

I have noticed recently that when I do ground advanced STFs and the mandatory optional fails, the mission does not end itself. Everyone is stuck in the match and it continues on. Even if you complete the remaining objectives, the match does not end. You are stuck, and the only way out is to exit prematurely and take the 1 hour ban. That's really not cool.
