Failing Bug Hunt Elite

js26568js26568 Member Posts: 0 Arc User
Is failing this even possible? I've played it about 50 times now, always Elite, and it has never failed.

No, I'm not doing the usual forum "I can beat an elite tac cube in my Cell ship" e-peen swinging, it's a genuine question.

yeah the big thing is those bluish alarm bugs but anytime i have had a fail its because those alarm bugs got um bugged resulting in something wierd happening with the timers usually the first bug if you dont get him before he disappears into the wall it will bug out and all of a sudden you find yourself being congratulated for killing the spawn mother lol and your not even past the second area.

In advanced you dont need to kill the 3 alarm bugs but need to kill the spawn mother

Me personally, I am more interested in finding a pug that helps the NPC place the bombs...
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

Its pointless... the NPC is stupid beyond stupid. Even a good team will just get frustrated and kill the queen. Not worth what 15 extra marks lmao

Thats your opinion... If you are doing missions for the rewards, and not because you feel it to be enjoyable and/or entertaining, you are doing it wrong in the first place.

I go into missions, not because I want to scrape a few extra dil crystals or marks... Because THAT is pointless, because cryptic will just release something in a week or two that will require me to get even more of said substances.

So doing missions to grind or farm... Pointless.

When I go into a mission, I do it to succeed or fail... I am fine with failing actually (unless it's because someone sabotages the mission), as long as the mission was enjoyable. And the process, experience and method of getting there is what is interesting and entertaining to me... I don't even look at the rewards anymore.

My super-buffed plasma grenade and cochrane's shotgun shot can do more damage than his bombs :P
However, I understand what you mean .
Instead, I am more interested to find a pug where tacs all throw FOMM at the mother and then spawn their security escorts before jumping in for the kill…

No, I'm not doing the usual forum "I can beat an elite tac cube in my Cell ship" e-peen swinging, it's a genuine question.

Lately there have been a lot of people filled with injuries beaming into bug hunt advanced and elite.

When it's only 1 person then usually the team can carry said person, two with injuries can be carried by good players and with 3 it's almost guaranteed failure.

It's all about spreading the aggro and tanking. If 3 person die almost instantly then even my tank get whittled down.

What's the deal with people beaming in with multiple injuries anyway?
I'm a strong believer in " Don't contribute to malice what can just as easily be explained by incompetence" but lately i am beginning to wonder.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Dunno if it's a reason, but there is also some weird bug atm being stuck to heal some NPCs Injuries ... got stuck 1min to heal the "Spawmother", fixed it by reopening the Window a few times ...

I failed elite once, probably with the best group I've been in, for the alarm bugs.

I've failed advanced many times due to not being able to solo the final boss bug.

Let's not egg on the removal of the only way to pug ancient power cells. k thnx.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."

"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."

I tried this a few times he takes so long that is beyond stupid lol. He stops every two seconds to have a conversation with you among other things. This needs fixing he is far too slow its just crazy

I have seen this too I dont know why anyone would start a new pug without at least healing their injuries from the previous time myself if i see one i instantly cure it.

When players jump in with that many injuries, I have to just give up on healing them... I'm a doctor, not a playerguide ;)

The best (/sarcasm) is jumping into the Elite queue, and watching nobody but myself go after the alarm bugs. Then the queue fails, and I've quite honestly seen something to the effect of "huh, why did we fail?" in the chat.

There's a 1min startup timer there for a reason... to read the objectives. BHE is one of the most spoon-fed queues in the game, I can only assume because they specifically designed it to be a fun pew-pew map for players of all skill-levels to easily get their Delta Rep stuff. But there are some players who just don't pay attention, no matter what.
