Borg Disconnected and Bug Hunt (all difficulties) causing random CTD

As the title says, I have been having a lot of problems with theses two STF's causing random CTD's.

I am happily playing along, and then, BAM, CTD.

In Borg Disconnected, the CTD's mostly seems to happen right before or shortly after the cut-scenes, but it can also happen randomly when fighting enemies.

As far as Bug Hunt goes, there it really is random, but usually not at the start, but rather towards the end where the big bad boss is, or in the middle of the map so to speak, or just whilst fighting enemies.

The other STF's seems to work as advertised, no disconnects there.

I have not been able to test The Battle of Korfez, due me simply being a tad undergeared atm, but seeing as this is also one of the new STF's, I would probably get a CTD there to.

There must be something wrong with the new STF's, atleast for me, for the CTDs to be happening, but the good old pre Delta Rising STF's seems to be unaffected so far.

It's so very very very annoying to miss out on the ancient power cells and marks due to these bloody CTD's.

Also bugged this in game, but I do not have the bug report number at hand.

Please look into this.

**Edit**
Was asked to post this, if more is required, I will post that if asked.

Nvidia GeForce 9800GT, Direct X 11

As other posters have said, check to see what DirectX version is optimal for your card.

A DirectX9 card does not in the least play well with DX11 setting in STO. I don't know why this game does not have optimal DirectX autodetect; it's just something you have to do on your own.

If all else fails, grab an air duster and blow out the computer components.

Oh god, don't use DX11 with the 9800GT. That card was designed for DX9.

Try putting STO on DX9 and see how that works for you.

I will try that tomorrow, going to bed soon.

I have not upgraded the DX version myself, I assume it has been auto updated, but will see if setting the in game settings to DX 9 helps, and report back.

    An update from me.

The game was actually set to DX 9, wich was ok, but does not explain why I got those blasted CTD's.

I then saw something called DX 9ex (I think), and chose that, hit apply and ok, and no CTD's in either of the previously mentioned STF's.

I would really like to know why one version of DX caused this, but another works just fine. Seems kinda odd if you ask me.
