While Klingons may not dance

...other races do and the KDF side is full of them. Why not use the top of the bar in Qo'nos? Or what about those dark streets and multitude of buildings behind the bar and the tailor? I have seen some suggestions of a Klingon hunting grounds. Why not combine them? You could have the public hunting grounds out back and a club next to it for the stories of all the hunts. Why do we have to go to Drozana to enjoy the dance and the costumes? While my Klingon may not be that interested, my Alien can't wait to hit the club after a long day of blood and honor. Where are the Orions supposed to dance? Why should they have to go to the fleet starbase or Drozana to enjoy the lights?

I have thought about this and believe this to be a real solution for the non-Fed players that are quite numerous in this game. Thank you.

Drozana is falling apart and any decent club DJ will have enough bass pumping that would cause some major structural failures. And we all know how Ferengi are about their safety systems such as structural integrity fields.

One moment dancing your heart out, the next having your heart ripped out by the vacuum of space.

And what decent Orion girl would want to have a Ferengi following her around all night panting 'I'll pay good latinum if you'll rub my lobes...'

Definately need a club on Qo'nos.

I thought there was already a "nightclub" in First City - the one with all the Orion dancers out the front? We used to have to find it as part of the old L20 starter mission.

If that's still there (have not checked in ages) it would be an obvious thing to make into the Klingon counterpart to Club 47.

no i dont think we need a club in the 1st city not at all. unless you put it inside the ***** house in the red light district. so unless your looking for it its cant be seen or heard at all. the upper floor of the bar is a bad choice that close to the vendors and the arena.

but id like to see some conquered alien home world kdf social zones. cant really see a gorn nausaacan or lethean doing it much but the orions hell yeah. and if they didnt want to give a entire world how about just opening up the orion bar on nimbus as a social zone? that dump in paradise is just that a dump who wants to go there LOL

The Fleet star base has two Orion dancing girls on a stage. There should be a Fleet star base upgrade to add more dancing girls. Would be hugely popular! Also, dancing girl costumes should include heels and nylons! Vavoom! You'd see some traffic in the Fleet star base then I'll tell ya!

That's right and it would be the obvious place. I agree that the top floor of the bar might not be ideal, but I don't think we need anything as elaborate as Club 47 either, we are Klingons after all.

Something for fun and entertainment is definately needed on Qo'nos, though. When I am there doing business, I don't want to have to head to the starbase to celebrate. The more I think about it the more I am convinced that the seedy backways behind the local establishments is the place to incorporate this. Maybe some photoshopped ideas will make it to this thread. ;)

Sorry but....they do not care for kdf at all! they rob our console specific consoles to hand over to the feddy bears and what do we get? Nothing...thats what we should expect..nothing...this is no longer a faction based game...just federation..thats all!

The day cryptic make an effort with the kdf is the day they will fix the kdf tailor and that wont ever happen!

There are so many worthwhile additions or even fixes that could be made to KDF faction content. If the devs were willing to put some effort into the Empire I would be disappointed to see it squandered on something as trivial as this or a Kazon story arc.

Would love to see an emote for the Klingon death ritual where they kneel down next to the body and raise their heads to the sky and scream at the top of their lungs.

How can Drozana be falling apart- they just revamped that station from the cool place it used to be to another place I avoid.

The bar in First City could be modified to serve the purpose. Some small touch-ups on the upper floor and the balcony could turn that into a lounge and balcony observing area - you can watch bat'leth fights in the arena from there. The main area with the bar and bloodwine fountain is ok.
I'm not sure if everyone has noticed, but there's also a lower floor under the Qo'noS bar. And that place just begs for a rave party/rave club. :D
So essentially, the bar in Qo'noS could be turned into a 3-floor club similar to what purpose Club 47 serves on ESD. Too bad it's for the KDF, so chances are well see this happening in about 3 years from now to never. :(

I'm not even sure this game has 3 months left to it much less 3 years lol. Methinks that when they made DR they were doing it Klingon style saying STO its a good day to die!

Although it would be funny if they did add in a club/rave area ran by the orion syndicate in there with more options other than dilithium to turn in contraband for heh. Except it should be setup where there is no law in there so you can start a bar fight any time you please :)

Pretty sure this already exists. We *do* need the ability for Gorn to throw rocks, though.

ohh i really think the entire 1st city should allow hand to hand combat. but would not be practical to have brawls in the bank great hall skill trainer and such. canon maybe but not practical in the game. but yeah make it so LOL

I support a 3 tier disco tech thingy in 1st City. And I like the idea of a Syndicate ran rave club in the basement. I recently watched that old movie "The Vikings", the one with Kirk Douglas in it, and I would like to see added to the club some contest of martial skills such as knife/axe throwing. Maybe we could hang an Orion female on a board and cut off her pigtails with a thrown axe like they did in the movie. Any activiteies that seperate our club from the Fedbear one. But as Shpoks has said I wouldn't hold my breath on it ever getting built. As someone also stated the game is centered around the Federation with the other two factions regulated to nothing more than filler.

I have constructed a possible Rave Club owned by the Orion Syndicate and operated under the existing KDF bar. Klingons can be quite boring when it comes to entertainment so I am hoping this will please the other more exciting races :)

*and hopefully the devs will like it ;)

There should be a dance club on Qonos just like there should be a challenge floor in the middle of earth spacedock. Which KDF species is it that you think likes to dance? Orion sex slaves doing their job doesn't count.

I wouldn't worry about it, its likely just an excuse for them to not have to bother working on something KDF.

Sad thing is, you can't get the shuffle dance if you don't have a Fed or a Fed-aligned Rom. As I was only able to grab the freebies in the nick of time and doesn't have any Fed characters, I have to wait until I can afford the account bank and try if it works on a temporary Fed.

Well actually it only matters if Klingons dance or not since it's their planet and if you think they do then you're a fool.

Well, Klingons without a doubt need some form of festival hall. I am, however, opposed to the idea of a "rave club".

Klingon society is not "uptight". Singing, drinking, telling stories and having a good time is a very important part of Klingon lifestyle. A Klingon festival hall would, however, borrow elements from drinking halls of viking origin, some great examples are the social part of a Klingon fleet starbase or you visit a Klingon bar/feasting hall in the TNG FPS "Klingon Honor Guard" by Microprose (I think?).

Now, there have been questions about the non-klingon races in the Klingon faction. In my opinion this is a design flaw. On Qo'Nos, there should NOT be syndicate-operated rave clubs or anything. Qo'Nos is the Klingon homeworld and Klingon society would not form a homogenous mass like STO portrays it in the first place. The affiliated races should have their very own social zones to begin with, though this is a wish utopian in nature. The two factions (yes, two. Romulans are *not* a faction in STO) are carbon copies of each other, one being blue the other red.
