Bug with aegis Mk XII

It was previously stated by adjudicatorhawk that Aegis would become "Account bind on equip" (here: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1156381&page=2 ) with season 9.5.

It would appear that this change did indeed take effect, but then during the server instability which occurred shortly thereafter, it reverted to "Character bind on equip".

    yeah, someone tought its a funny thing to silently set them on char_bound_on_equip

    that was the main reason i bought the ediition and "lost" it a few days ago when it was still stating account_bound when i unequipped from character_1, placed in account_bank, than equipped it with character_2.

    all along stated account_bound but when char_2 equipped it, its turned to bound_to_character

    I know these things would sell a lot better if people could rotate them across their alts as they level them. All crafted space gear is Account bind on equip save this, and *this* was intended to be "brought in line with other rep gear"...and *was*...then reverted. I'm figuring this is a bug, since if it were intentional, they wouldn't have changed it to account bind briefly, just to change it back. That'd be a huge waste of labor.

    MKXII gear like this would be the ideal stepping stone between level 50-60 as people accumulate rep gear...but you're simply not going to sell 1 per alt with any reliability, you certainly will sell 1 per account, to folks who desire it to use between mission reward-drops and rep gear. It's ideal for that purpose.

    It was always assumed something like this would happen when they decided to maintain two almost identical sets of the same equipment. The old sets should have been made into new sets so the system didn't have to keep track of age or version types as far as upgrades and bindings went.

    Sitting on a set too that I would like to transfer to another character that could use it. Been waiting ages it seems for some resolution or official response.

    When the transition to the new crafting revamp my old Aegis set never changed from Character Bind to Account Bind and was still leveless, though I'm not sure if it was intended to become a MK item unless slotted into the upgrade windows.

    We had a fix for that, or so it seemed to fix the issue. :confused:

    If you've still got a character with character bound Aegis set items, let me know the name@handle please.

    As of the last time I tried it, you still *can't* slot the leveless Aegis into the upgrade windows and I still have no idea if this is intentional.

    Plus every piece of the Aegis set on the exchange still says they are character bind on equip.
    Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.
    True alters don't have a "main". Account wide unlocks for all unique event rewards!!

    I always assumed they were supposed to be Character Bound... so unbind em for me please... :D

    Slotting it into the Window should turn them into a Mark 12 Item... but you have to slot all 3 pieces or you lose the Set Bonuses,

    Opening the pieces in the upgrade window changed them to the new system (they're now Mk XII) but did not change their bind state, nor did moving them between ships.

    The set is in their inventories now. These Aegis pieces, at least some of them, probably date back to the very introduction of the set, if that helps.

    The tooltip for Aegis equipment in the R&D window states Character bind on equip instead of Account bind. Something is messed up with all Aegis gear (affects all 3 pieces, not just the shield pictured below).

    All of the following have full Aegis sets with all pieces bound to character:

    T'Morrow@MaelDuin (should be T'ran, but renames are borked)
    Maduin@MaelDuin (with an extra engine part)
    Catherine@MaelDuin

    Set is tagged as character bound.

    Set was made prior to the revamp of the crafting system. Pieces were slotted into the upgrade system for transition with no change to bind status.

    Confirming I'm also seeing multiple pre-crafting revamp Aegis sets still marked as character bound on more than one character - @ralphgraphite.

    Steven@quickdraw74 One set in the bank Character bind on Equip and one set on a ship that is still character bound.

    My main toon (Tyler Maxwell@TylerMaxwell) has a full 3-piece Aegis Mk XII set in inventory. This Aegis set was acquired prior to the R&D revamp.

    I tried slotting each of the pieces in the upgrade window to see if it would correct the 'Character Bound' status (works for some other items I have like unbound consoles), but no change occurred.

    Do we know if this is being handle as a one off? Has anyone on this list had their Aegis gear fixed because of this post?
