1. Give NPCs full load outs instead of quadrupling the HPs. Give them certain builds drain, control, healing etc. Then you can TWEAK the load out numbers based on difficulty and only give hp a minisule boost.
2. Fix the patrols...not all of us are masochists. Too long even on normal. It's the lazy way to make up for lack of content. Open up the old patrol planets too, promote variety.
3. Fix the queues. Old normal, Old elite= New advanced, New elite for the masochists and sadists. change the rewards back too new elite gets 1440. Optional on Advanced should be the same as old elite you get bonus marks. If you don't get itno marks.
4. Fix crafting by reducing the amount of time to get to level 15 to 60 days for all schools. All Schools should be maxed in no more than 6 months of daily missions. Reduce the Finish now cost to 8K.
5. Reduce the cost of the upgrade kits to 500-750-1000 dil per use. Keep the points the same. Still a good deal but the average player won't feel like he got hit in the junk with a hammer.
6. I am fine with the ship upgrade prices, however the T5U should have gotten an additional BoFF ability slot. Even if it is making an Ensign to a LT. A LTC BoFF Power is far more powerful than a console. T6 can keep it's ship trait and LTC slot.
Cryptic created this mess by introducing so much power creep for sale/grind and leaving the pve environment stagnant, difficulty-wise, for years. They molded the players and community into a mass of folks expecting easy play and uber-casual success. Then, with DR, they move the goal posts 5 miles the other direction. Frustration and impatience smacks the playerbase in the collective face and Cryptic is betting that they will open the wallet to try to alleviate those negative emotions. It's one Hell of a risky gamble, IMHO.
But you know what..players will open the wallet PWE knows this because they always do. Not so much a gamble for PWE.
Doesn't solve the BNP Problem though does it?
We need a middle ground. Something between this new advanced, and normal, that gives borg neural processors but has OPTIONAL optionals, and can't be failed by griefers as easily.
Take away the mandatory optionals from advanced, and it's not so bad when you can't be failed completely just because somebody pops a generator too soon, or you simply run out of time in Cure etc.
It's just not worth the bother when all too often it's over before you even start, with a tiny reward, and a 1 hour wait. If I want nightmare mode, I'd queue for elite.

Yup the biggest problem is not everyone has taken advantage of the power creep so we have 2 groups the old uber dps 30k people and the average 6-10k dps pug. If both groups upgrade their ship weapons they will go from 30-40k dps and 8-13k dps.
The new advanced queues don't effect the uber dps group at all (the new elites are probly a cakewalk for them as well) but for the pugs where you need around 15k dps per person to complete a stf it means failure more often then not for advanced queues.
I did a couple advanced when DR launched and failed all of them so i took some time off and went back to normals and just last night tried a Infected space advanced and it was a failure because of lack of dps overall the group was nearly 50k dps (me at 15k another at 15k and then 7/6/6). We made it to the 2nd transformer but did not have the dps to kill it in time after looking at the charts the only reason we even killed the first transformer was because the other top dps player did 35k dps to it and i did 28k dps to it for a total of 2 million damage between us and this was with 2 people throwing out GW's.
To top it off since we failed the optional objective the mission ended and i was handed 10 omega marks and locked out of the mission for 1 hour for all difficulties.
1)Let Bnp drop in normals
2)remove interlaced queue timers aka normal/advnaced/elite would have their own separate timers.
3)Failed mission= no cooldown or much lower mission cooldown.
4)Optionals=optional for normal and advanced.
If you want optional optionals, play normal. Problem solved.
Then there's one super easy and 2 elites and dead queues for all. That seems to be what we're stuck with.
I should say that my only interest is in the viability of the pug queues.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
All advanced queues need the same treatment that Crystalline got.
I despise what they did to Advanced Crystalline with that one patch...it's even easier than Normal was before Delta Rising now...meh. The only thing advanced about it now is the level of pathetic it is...bah.

Come on. It's about 10% harder than the old elite - which is exactly what the advanced is supposed to be. And that is with an upgraded ship and level 14 equipment.
In other words its doable in a reasonable amount of time for an average pug - which is what matters for the health of the game.

Why do they complain to be allowed to spend more time in STFs for less reward.
I dont unterstand that too.
Rewards that's 1 thing. Many I saw were complaining they couldn't even do advanced.

the pve ques are a big part of it, just kind of tooling around having fun
I'm all for you guys upping the challenge a bit, but this is too much, you have emptied out the ques and they aren't going to fill up again. people just aren't going to get that much more powerful upgrading a couple weapons and getting a few more intelligence levels.

Agreed, all it would have to be is do the Hard dailies get a BNP.
