At least that's what he said - the Winter Event is already planned and in the works, we won't be able to affect what it may contain now. But nothing is nailed down yet for the Summer Event!
My wish for the Winter Event is a Science Vessel Submarine as the big ship project. Science is still missing from the list of ships for the event, and since we already got a luxury liner Cruiser and a yacht Escort, what else is there?!
I could accept if it was a Science Destroyer (e.g. with DHCs or whatever) like the Dyson Destroyer if they think something more DPS focussed is necessary for it to attract player attention.

Nobody will be around to participate in said summer event unless the DR fiaso is addressed and rememedied.
Way things are going...perhaps there wont be a server left to HOLD these events if peeps are actually leaving as they said they are..so why worry about nothing

But mostly I'm just looking forward to running some gingerbread village missions with friends who've never seen it before. Commander Ander makes a very cute gingerbread mayor.

That probably won't happen. That was an anniversary ship, wasn't it? It coincided with a featured episode, not a holiday event.
The ship is indeed in the lobi store, but it only costs 600 lobi, as compared to other ships at 800. IMO it is not worth even 300, and I honestly couldn't force myself to use it even if I tried. You're better off finding a different ship, IMHO.
Meh, I just want the warp core. Metaphasic shields on my Kamarag might make it viable again.

They could even add water balloon guns similar to the snowball guns to the event venders
A scuba or snorkel diving area maybe a dive boat off the coast out of the way of the race course you can visit to enter a dive area.
Maybe a hover board play area by the display ship or before the starting line with jumps and half pipes and such.
And maybe more lounge chairs on the beach or the ability to ask an NPC to move so you can use the chair, and maybe more sit/lounge states like read a padd or lay on stomach. On this same topic maybe a beach towel/blanket you can set out an lay/sit on anywhere on the map.

Custom bridges for the Risian ships would be awesome. That cruiser was just begging for one.
Perhaps more reason to use the paths at the resort. The environment was so beautiful, but there was no reason to walk through it all.
Hourly events running multiple times an hour - so players can choose what they want to do, instead of "this is hunt time, this is race time, this is sandcastle time".
Perhaps 1 or 2 things that will get left behind. Short little dailies that give a small amount of XP and/or dilithium after the event ends. Risa is still there - it wouldn't hurt to have a reason to visit off-season for those who want to.
For a ship, in keeping with the South Pacific aquatic theme, how about a Science Vessel modeled after a sorta oceangoing research vessel (think Jacques Cousteau)? Given the Risian environment and taste for geoengineering, it'd be an engineering-heavy sci ship like the Scryer or Nebula, and something NOT tac-heavy for a change. Alternately, IF the next Breen ship ISN'T a carrier, then do the Risian ship as a 'deep sea research' carrier that launches 'minisubmarine' pets. You could call them the Alvin class or Cameron class or something, and while light on firepower they'd have high durability and maybe some miniaturized sci powers or Sensor Scan or something.
I'll assume other stuff gets fixed in the meantime because, otherwise, what's the point? I won't be that interested in the game if the game's direction doesn't change in any meaningful way.
I'm at my capacity for demand on ships. This game had a nice run selling ships and I think it's time to focus on making other value propositions beyond just ships. That's where there's some growth potential.
I'd like:
A Morale Officer secondary specialization for Captains. Set this one up as a "special" secondary specialization that feeds off of special projects that take Risian Pearls and Autographed Photos of Q. I would suggest switching things like the Disco Ball (with its Duty Officer combat buff baked in) to being abilities in this specialization.
Bridge Officers of the Morale Officer specialization in exchange for Lohlunat favors. Species might include El Aurean, Talaxian, Risian, Deltan, Debolulan, and Catullan (ie. space hippies).
For Lobi, you get a year-round "Exiled Q" Morale bridge officer which also unlocks the outfit Q wore in "Q Who?"
Morale officers can be placed in any universal slot. Space powers include things like a weapon upgrade attack that causes projectile weapons to launch fireworks on impact. Beam/energy weapons get an attack upgrade with a random energy color change and random additional proc as "Emergency Power to Imagination." Lots of hippie/Neelix/gaudy Ferengi type stuff. Maybe on the ground one of them can summon dancing swimwear clad Risians who act as medics as a kind of Security Team/DOff medic type power as "Oo-Mox Team Alpha". You also have to give the Morale Officer an ability like "tell joke" which animates them talking and then creates an AoE of everyone around laughing. (Logical and Efficient trait characters are excluded from the animation.) These abilities are available to captains through the specializations.
A face painting booth offers Catullan face tattoos as costume unlocks and hippie haircuts. These are usable in any slot on most captains and bridge officers.
Maybe Floral decorated guns (level scaling, upgradeable) and MACO/Honor Guard gear. These are cross faction costume unlocks. The gear is beat up (cracked glass, ragged edges) and covered in floral elements and peace signs, the idea being that they're military surplus worn by space hippies.
Likewise, you have new trippy hippie/paisley hull patterns offered by a Catullan graffiti artist.
And, of course, Risian bridges. Based on the hotel.
I'd suggest actually having a story mission on Risa to get people's attention more and build goodwill for the event. Suggested ideas: a Catullan "space hippie" version of graffiti artist Banksy and a follow-up on how the Tox Uthat wound up on Risa in "Captain's Holiday" with a guest appearance by 29th century Captain Walker, who we met in Temporal Ambassador.
STO is certainly not unsinkable, but the Titanic didn't have people predicting its doom since the start, and the Titanic didn't travel the seas for several years... For "Will STO still be alive by X", see other threads.
ANd imagine how emberrasing it would be if Geko had to post for Summer. "Sorry, we listened to our customers and realized this game is dying, and decided to make no Summer Event. Please stop buying Zen and invest that money in a real vacation."

Needs a voice over from Ellen Degeneres who can play one of the fish! :P
Outfits: Now that we've got swimsuits, rather than more styles of them, I'd like to see a few new non-swimsuit (aka wearable anywhere) outfits. There's no shortage of possibilities ranging from loud Hawaiian shirts to new formal/dance outfits to just normal, casual off-duty clothing (something we're sorely lacking).
Ship: Risian Runabout. Go with a small craft and make it the fastest thing in the game. You can give a small craft an impulse mod that would be broken on a real ship. An interior for the Luxury Cruiser would be nice, too.
