Since askray closed the original one due to the serial necro, I'm remaking it.

Got a new one for Eleya's USS Bajor:
"To succeed, planning alone is insufficient. One must improvise as well."
-- Isaac Asimov, Foundation Part V: The Merchant Princes

And for Morgan's RRW Bloodwing/ch'M'R Aen'rhien:
"Hllue rhifv sienov, llhnaeu noimnir anhelaefv daehp'ukhi." ("When a sword shatters, take the fragments back to the forge.")
-- Romulan maxim
"Great War! / And I cannot take more! / Great tour! / I keep on marching on / I play the great score / There will be no encore / Great War! / The War to End All Wars"

Three: new TSABC, the USS Leonard Nimoy: "'I. Like. To. Murder. People.' ~ Richard, Chief Warlord of the Brothers of Darkness, Lord of the Thirteen TRIBBLE, Master of Bones, Lord of the Undead, Emperor of the Black, Lord of the Dance, Mistress of Magma, and Mayor of this little town up the coast. Quite scenic in springtime."

And of course her main ship, the George Takei: "Alright! Let's DO this, chums! Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-roy....JENKINS!!!!!!!!!"

D'trel's ship has has "Vengeance for the lost". She's a simple woman, in her own way.

I mentioned it somewhere else quite a time back, but my Fed Rommie took inspirations for his ship, the Alis Solis - Latin for "Wings to the Sun" , from Shakespeare (the human version, not the Klingon one) and would probably use part of the quote that inspired the name:

I saw Jove's bird, the Roman eagle, wing'd
From the spongy south to this part of the west,
There vanish'd in the sunbeams: which portends-
Unless my sins abuse my divination-
    Success to the Roman host.

    - the Soothsayer, from Cymbeline by Shakespeare.

My main has ships all named after places I've lived/worked in/near. The thought of naming a Fleet Patrol Escort, a warship, after Calumet, which means Peace Pipe, seemed a little off, til I came up with the dedication plaque:

      Peace Through Smoking Your Enemies.

In the end, I don't fly this ship much, right now I'm leveling through DR wih my D'Kora, the Bangor. Plaque suggestions?

May I point out the irony of a character who constantly manipulates time to his own benefit using that quote? :D

The irony is intentional. ;) You have to look at it from his perspective though, and then it makes sense.

We shall not cease from exploration

The USS Falcon's dedication plaque is - as befits her commander - a little more eccentric.
