still seems broken after fighting the same hirogen escort for literally 15 min with it's hull between 3% and 9% nothing, not a single drop of R&D mats.
I posted this in another thread, but I think the issue is that the trait is now listed as a ground trait instead of a space trait, which may be preventing it from functioning properly.
Just wanna bump this thread so it gets some exposure. For a 300 Lobi item (especially with the bonus lobi event happening) this is something that needs to actually work. The Salvage trait is effectively the only reason to purchase a Talaxian boff (except for the costume).
The description says it's a space trait and that there's a 5% chance for attacking enemies below 10% hull to reward R&D materials. Yet there's a little man next to the description indicating it's a ground trait.
I've also defeated countless enemies with this boff active on my ship, and didn't get a single extra R&D material.

I have purchased all 3 Talaxian boffs. I have used them through all my 50-60 leveling and through all my specilization leveling. Not a single R&D material. I spent 900 lobi on these useless boffs just for the salvage trait. When is this going to get looked into? Is Cryptic going to reimburse us? Can Cryptic at least hook us up with some R&D packs from the store to make up for the loss of materials ? Is there any thoughts going into how to make this right by the players who spent a lot of Lobi getting these Boffs that don't work as advertised?
That said, I am a little miffed that this will be not the first, nor second, but third time that this trait has been stated as fixed (Even with borticus' pinkie-swear! ). I generally hold a pretty positive view of this game, and I understand that there are many other bugs that require the devs' attention, but what does begin to upset me is seeing little things like this fall through the cracks again and again.
I would hope that you might consider pushing a second patch soon to fix this (and any other issues already solved). I'm not really keen waiting for a third week for an issue that was identified and "fixed" twice before, with only the hope that "third time's the charm."
Nitpicking is a time-honored tradition of science fiction. Asking your readers not to worry about the "little things" is like asking a dog not to sniff at people's crotches. If there's something that appears to violate natural laws, then you can expect someone's going to point it out. That's just the way things are.
This is still not in the Nov 4th Tribble patch notes. Can you please get this out the door?
It's discouraging especially since I spent real money to buy keys to open lock boxes... to get the Lobi. I wouldn't be as concerned if it was just a regular item, but it's a cash shop item.

This is a little disheartening. It was not as though they said they were having problems fixing it (they've been pretty honest about other such issues), and we've had at least 3 dev posts responding to the problem. To go yet another week without a fix (possibly, since Holodeck notes aren't up yet) would be quite a disappointment.
Not to mention the fact that playable Talaxians have the exact same problem, AND the devs were aware of the issue (as evidenced by earlier responses to threads about the bug) when they released them as a playable species. So now it's not just a Lobi crystal issue, but a LTS issue as well.
Hopefully we can get some more information about what's happening on the Talaxian Front from the devs.
Just want to bump this thread, as it appears tomorrow's patch won't fix this issue. Is this bug still on the devs' radar? Is there trouble nailing down a fix?
A couple of weeks ago it seemed like a simple matter (based on dev posts), but to go another week without a fix? Somewhat worrying.
hopefully this doesn't become one of the things that just is allowed to linger......since ya know, that never happens....still looking for the doff assignments that are MIA from the clusters...
still shows as ground trait not even gonna bother checking in my OPINION this broken on purpose figured they wouldn't fix it and updated world of tanks game prior enjoys those that are playing
The fix was not included in today's patch, as we didn't get it in before the deadline. It should appear in next week's patch, if QA clears it.
Do you have any real intention of fixing this? The whole "bugs take weeks to blah blahblah" thing has been debunked by the freaking backflips you guys do the moment the players start to get ahead. If not just say so, so we can get refunded our lobi to spend elsewhere.

You told us this was "fixed" two weeks ago. And yet it never made it into the patches. This is quite disturbing, as it implies that either: (1) QA's testing phase is at least two weeks long; or (2) You forgot to submit the fix in through two week's worth of patches.
Neither says very nice things.
If (1) is true, then that presents some very un-flattering things about Cryptic's priorities and calls into question QA's performance. Take the near-instantaneous "fixing" of all the "bugs" that were supposedly present in the Tau Dewa patrols. Two to three days at worst, gets top billing in the patch notes.
If (2) is true, well... More accountability and controls need to be put in place.
There is a possibility that the fix was overriden by the equally bugged trait in the playable Talaxian race, in which case this still falls under point (1). QA should have caught this error, and proper procedure says that both the bridge officer fix AND the playable Talaxians should have been delayed until they were both fixed.
Instead, we get the playable race and broken traits.

You're a little late to the party
Read two posts up. It'll be fixed next patch.
The fix is conspicuously absent in this week's patch notes... You didn't forget your pinkie-swear, now did you?
Thanks for the quick response/verification.

But again, thanks for acknowledging it.
Well he may have checked it in and it just didn't get through QA to go live as of yet.

Out of curiosity, and sorry if this has already been mentioned, will the fix also sort the trait for Talaxian player characters when it goes live?
Summarized... Working as Intended
