After the patch on 10/23/14 Elite Space Ships are rewarding 1/2 the xp that was rewarded prior to the patch.
I didn't see any patch notes for 10/23/14 that stated that it would be changed so I am assuming it is a bug as normal still rewards approx. 75% of what elites do and takes 1/10 the time to complete.
I am fighting enemies that are my level and am running the missions solo.
At level 60 a player now has to kill 110 - 200 ships for one specialization point, and generally killing 20 ships takes almost an hour to complete in patrols and such.
