1) I think I remember a solo elite patrol giving me somewhere around 3900SP. Has this been nerfed? Does the SP value change depending on the zone you're in?
2) Can someone check their XP (experience points, not skill points) and see if you've had a load removed?

This is truly unacceptable, Cryptic. You've crossed a line. I worked like crazy for those points. I put in hours and hours and hours. I worked hard and I worked smart, and I didn't abuse your dumb little exploit.

Getting them this quick is impossible and the fact the dilithium was dropping, they have (according to the TOS) revoked that and I'm sure if it was spent, which it probably was, took the only available action which was to revoke your points. Which by all right, Cryptic/PWE clearly states that they amend this game in ANY fashion they choose with or without telling anyone. Which clearly you accepted by playing this game. Bug or no bug, it's there and they resolved it.
And let's look at another FACT here. Because of this other players are probably NOT getting spit when they complete all of the specialization traits because of this BUG that WAS clearly exploited by the few. The may or may not have known, who cares, they corrected it and a reason was given.

This is an update glitch. People who did not do any sort of exploit and did not have their trees maxxed out are getting got by it.

I believe this man here is correct. if you are using any of the crafting level 15 traits but haven't yet legitimately earned them, stop using them. i was fully spec'd in pilot & intel, with a further 7 in commando. and after the patch skills invalid etc. i was using beam barrage which i haven't yet gotten legitimately on the toon in question. same thing last week when the game was patched too.
As a result i have lost over 20 points, fortunately I was left with enough to fully refill pilot and all of the space abilities in intel.
However on the other toon i had gotten to 60, also using beam barrage and having pilot fully spec'ed and intel halfway done, nothing was changed. this toon has access to beam barrage legitimately from getting to level 15 beam R&D.
So if you're using any crafting trait that's unlocked early because of the bug, stop using it, or risk losing whatever points you can scrape back again before the next nuclear nerfpatch.

I would file a ticket if this is the case and place it in Bug Reports, but hey, be respectful about it and explain your events, they may respond personally in-game.
I would also say as well, they should of notified the players involved and told them hey your points are being revoked because of our mistake. But by all rights they don't have to.

What exploit ? It was clearly mentioned after the second mission in the Delta Rising expansion that in need to obtain the next level, players should acquire the needed skill/xp points through playing other alternatives.

But this isn't about legal rights. It's about morality.
It is absolutely immoral for them to steal these EARNED points from the playerbase... even if it is legal.
