Jem'Hadar Fighters unable to be bought

I have had a Jem'Hadar Dreadnought for two years now, and today I could not purchase Jem'Hadar fighters from any ship equipment vendor on Earth Spacedock, Jenolan and the Dyson Spheres. It comes up with this message:
"Jem'Hadar Dreadnought or Jem'Hadar Heavy Escort Carrier not owned. You require the Jem'Hadar Dreadnought or Jem'Hadar Heavy Escort to purchase Jem'Hadar fighters."
The fix cannot be discharge and reclaim the Jem'Hadar Dreadnought as it was a birthday gift, as well as being an irreplaceable (for me) Lobi Store ship.

Dreadnought class. Two times the size, three times the speed. Advanced weaponry. Modified for a minimal crew. Unlike most Federation vessels, it's built solely for combat.

Also it tells me, that I only need a carrier to buy the bug ship pets. No longer a bug ship as well?
