Missing items from ship

Myself and some friends noticed today that we were missing items like universal consoles and warp cores for example. Mine was the Plasmonic leech console. It shows on my other ships and states that it is installed on another ship but I cant find it and my friend lost his Red Matter capacitor the same way, shows to be on another ship but unable to locate it. Anyone else having this issue?
