Bugged XP System?

Just wondering, but am I the only one who has noticed that the XP/CXP system seems to be moving REALLY slowly?

What I mean is, prior to hitting level 50, and even without XP boosts, a single mission, perhaps two would move you from level 'X' to level 'Y' - "Congratulations...whatever rank!"

However, I have noticed that even after immensely long battles, wherein the XP just rolls off from enemies going down, etc., and/or long missions with A LOT of XP (skill and experience) being offered, I am awarded with maybe a 'bar' - sometimes HALF a 'bar!' It only increases slightly using XP boosts BOUGHT FROM THE C-store (i.e., are we just wasting our money for something that doesn't actually work?!), too!

Things are set on "Normal," and it's not that I mind the challenge - I thought going from Ensign to Admiral in a weekend's time was a little ridiculous before. But, when you only have a few hours here and there during the week to play, I thought we'd be rewarded a little more (and a LOT faster) than this...

Is this "working as intended," or is it, indeed, bugged?

Anyone?

    No its not bugged, cryptic want you to take your time leveling. A majority of the player base have stated how easy it was to level in this game, also they want you playing and paying ( makes sense from a business point of view ). Easy way is play on elite and, do a few tau dewa system patrols. Good luck an see you at level 60.

    Its bugged XP, bugged Ship Icon trays, bugged PVE combat system, bugged pretty much in all sorts of stuff...


    I find myself hating going into fleet pve now...especially if its ship related....a regular mission you now die usually in 20 seconds and maybe if you lucky you die 2-3 times....otherwise more....

    I can only imagine how much worse on higher than normal mission settings this is....


    Trying to play out my long overlooked storyline missions because I had made 50 before I ever even came close to finishing my first chapter....try to do them now....what a joke....Planet killer mission...you die in 12 seconds after trying to ward off like 2-3 drones....I mean DRONES...not ships but a faking DRONE while using a Klingon ship.

    Died like 4 times...said fak it...no reason to stress myself on a faked up expansion of the game that they did not balance anything on....

    I ended up having to repurchase a ship because that was the easiest fix for my screwed up space battle icons...because they would revert to some weird configuration after every beam to a ground location....so I bought a Tier 6 ship instead since I was using already a T5U and figured might as well get the latest....what a worthless $30 paid...the ship still dies so fast its pathetic....I might as well have no skills at all in myself and my crew the way the game works the NPC ships now....get 2-3 ships attaching me and sure enough I will be dead in less time than I can click all my healing icons to boost my shields up or repair them....just pathetic.

    Not bugged. This is the intended rate of exp gain from now on.

    You can look at the requirements for each level to see they have increased for XP.

    The requirement to get from 50 to 60 is the same as going from 1 to 50.

    Can't comment on CXP, as I haven't seen any change there - but the XP is working as intended/designed.

    Cool - at least it's good to know it's intended to be this way - on less bug (of many) to worry about, I suppose.

    Like I said, I like the challenge, and I hated the fact that I had a friend grind from Ensign to Admiral in one weekend a while back. But, it does seem the balance has gone a bit much the other way now: some of these missions are really long, or fights really tough, and you are now barely rewarded for your efforts - even in drops.

    And yeah: you're right - OF COURSE they want you to buy boosts; sneaky, but good business (from their side of things, anyway).

    Devs - is there a middle ground somewhere? One wherein it takes effort to level, but one where your hard work actually pays off?

    Loving the expansion and new content; hating the bugs. But, the good definitely outweighs the bad this time!

    I was banging my head on the desk until somebody mentioned just changing things to Elite for running the missions in DQ...and yeah, ~4x the XP for around the same amount of effort time paid off - cause at Normal, it was going nowhere fast and was getting brutally tedious.

    There are also folks that are hitting up 5man Patrols in Tau Dewa and leveling at a fast pace.

    Personally though, I'm kind of digging the fights in DQ on Elite - doesn't feel as much like an arcade shooter and feels more like the battles seen in the shows/movies.

    Hrmm, ran into a speedbump just shy of 59 for the last mission - and - decide to go do some DOFFing on other toons...

    Been through a few of runs now with them and hrmm, I don't have any quantitative analysis or the like to substantiate it; but yeah...the CXP/XP from DOFFing on my guys that aren't 50 yet feels way off...

    edit: Damn typo demons are eating me alive today...

    I thought XP rewards before level 50 were not supposed to change and CXP rewards were not supposed to change at all. Can anyone confirm this?
