Was going to write something about zek and rooster meeting up but they beat me to it.

However, I will say to notice the bloody corpse near him.

    Superhuman strength, indestructible bones.

You know a quick way to the surface?

And boy, you look SO much like this character from a Drizzt do'Urden book. Except that Belwar Dissengulp has a pick and a hammer as prosthetic hands, which is badass.

The lava tubes widen out into what might have been a magma chamber once upon a time. You finde a largish herd of cattle-like creatures grazing on fungi and lichens on the floor.

He blinks at you. "Who's Drizzt Do'Urden? Oh, never mind. Tell you what. I don't personally know how to get to the surface. I'm a miner, I go the opposite direction. But, you give us a hand clearing the cave-in so we can get to the stream for water again, I'll take you to town, get you some food, maybe some beer, and the elders can probably point you in the right direction. Deal?"

You glance at the arrow. If it was any bigger you could put it on a ballista.

A deep voice with an odd accent goes, "I did that on purpose. I didn't have to miss." A heavily muscled, horned humanoid well over two meters tall, with a bow comes around the right-hand end of the herd. A cow moos as he passes and he pats it on the head.

The ground still shakes occasionally but the tremors are further and further apart. One last tremor drops some dirt on your head from the ceiling and then all is quiet.

The roof of the tunnel begins to slope downward into the stream until it is submerged. Looks like it keeps going underwater.

    Seems interesting.

Th'gan, species 8472. 8472 body armor (think psi warrior), fluidic antiproton arm cannon/wrist lance, powerful psionic abilities, and the superhuman abilities provided by being species 8472 (surving vacuum/toxic environments, hyperactive immune system, strength and speed enough to take out multiple Borg with his bare claws, and whatever else I missed.)

Not giving him shapeshifting and such because he's strong enough as is and I see no reason for it. Also skipping on personal shields because of the same reasons. Also makes more sense canonically.

You and the gnomes (why not call it like it is :P) make short work of the blockage and shore up the cavern with timbers brought in a wagon, and then Belwar leads you through a maze of tunnels that finally opens out into a decent-size cavern.

The place is lit dimly by bioluminescent fungi, and more brightly by flames from burning buildings! The miners start running into the village to look for wounded. With your enhanced senses you can hear the clash of metal on metal.

The tunnel quickly becomes pitch dark and you can't see a thing and have to feel your way forward. Something slimy brushes past your leg.

He doesn't quite seem to believe you, but he releases the tension on his bow, which is easily as tall as you are, and leaves the arrow pointed at the ground.

    "Who are you?" he demands.

The smaller Nicor bioship detached from the Undine carrier, sliding out of an TRIBBLE in it's surface like some long pointy baby. Pressing his hand against the slightly squishy surface of the main console, Th'gan piloted it towards the quantum singularity. On the other side of the artificial wormhole there was a planet. It was unremarkable, save for traces of minerals which could be "fed" to bioships to increase their weapons, shields, and speed outputs. As soon as the ship left the singularity, the organs that generate and expel the plasma-like substance that the ship used to propel itself failed, their walls rupturing as unknown radiation penetrated their cells. The ship began to tumble to the surface, and Th'gan managed to catalyze the reaction that turned the cockpit walls in to slightly squishy sacks to absorb the energy of the impact, surviving with only a cracked exoskeleton and some lacerations to his head crest. These repaired themselves in about 2 minutes, and his sliced open the wall of the ship and stepped out into his new surroundings.

    (Scenario pls.)
