Big thanks to everyone who joined us for today's Livestream Preview of the Dauntless.
I had a lot of fun with everyone who logged in to run some PvE, although I must apologize to Captain Kim for letting him down. We will have to try again sometime soon to bring back his faith in all of us. Sniffle
Congrats to everyone who won today, and make sure to check out our twitter feed for some great photos we captured during the show.
So now you need these intelligence officers, but your T5-U ships don't have such IOF.. Dauntless design looks like sea Squid! But now a space Squid! Beside the Extra Deflector the ship layout pretty much the same Intrepid Class Sci-wise.
There will probably be much less hatesplosion if we at least know it's coming, so, level with us here please... How bad's the T6 prices zen-wise? The basic assumption is that it might be 3k, but the complete silence on the subject has gotten rather worrisome.
The only ship thus far that is even remotely interesting to me, is the Guardian Cruiser. And there's really nothing about it, that I don't already get from my Fleet Excelsior (which is more nimble, and faster). Not interested in the Flying Bricks of STO. And don't get me started on the "Intel" ships, which has NO justification in canon, whatsoever. The closest to an Intelligence Agency operating starships in Star Trek, was the Obsidian Order (Cardassian Intelligence), and their ships were modified versions of standard Military vessels (Keldon Class). Same goes for the Romulan Tal Shiar (standard D'deridex Class).
I agree and disagree. In my opinion, the Dauntless is more true to Starfleet designs than the Intel Ships. It's a nice looking ship and, although it appeared as a holographic representation, was shown in the TV series. Dyson destroyers are up there in my hated top 10. They are ridiculous designs and too far flung from the original designs. The Intels seem to have taken inspiration from the Into Darkness Vengeance design, particularly the Scryer.
I'm no where near as disappointed at these T6 than some of the other TRIBBLE that they have churned out. So when it comes down to it, I think the Dauntless is one of the most believable of the T6 ships. It flies well and can hold a balanced build.
I hope they bring out an updated Nebula. I love my T5-U Fleet Nebula and it beats any other Science vessel T5-U or T6 when it comes to the balanced build and it's BOFF abilities.
