Didn't they do one on Thursday a few weeks back, the one that got interrupted?
For Friday's livestream, I vote that Trendy show us what she's got and leads the chat. Let Smirk sit in the back and administer!
only thing he could administer is a good case of haemorrhoids, whats the product placement this week i wonder? we have had soda, pizza and jellybeans......it sure wont be correct information and less waffle
Came to say she looks beautiful with the Starfleet 2010 paint job.
It is absolutely canon it appeared in an episode, period. (and as the caveat to Threshold was not disavowed by the creators).
There's no evidence that anything other than the interior was a particle generated illusion. It was an actual ship that Arturis' species built and it had one of the most advanced FTL drives Starfleet had ever encountered. Why wouldn't they reproduce it.
That's how it is. It is literally more canon to the Star Trek universe than STO is.
Don't change it for Friday! I am scheduled in for that time. Today Thursday I booked.. Perfect timing another major shutdown for maintenance I see scheduled in today!

period? hahaha. thats questionable at best "azati prime"-ent. all you saw was a blur.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

Even that blur was enough. It demonstrated, clearly, that, when the particle generated illusion was disrupted, the underlying ship was what appeared real, and of alien origin.
Also, you're forgetting the entire Alien bridge that was revealed when the particle generated illusion broke. Maybe your memory is a blur?!
Smirk, I already asked this in another thread but I'm not sure if you get around to reading it there before the livestream, so I'll say it here again - please do me a favor for the livestream and if the Dauntless has a unique bridge check if the other (standard) ship interiors are accessible from that bridge. It's something that is itching me to know.
Lol, I could give Smirk a build to blow everything in sight quickly, but then someone might complain.
I'd love it if you gave ME that build
Oh and as far as that is canon or not argument:
Friends, we blew canon out the airlock with the Bugship and keep flushing everytime a new lockbox comes out.
Then there's the Christmas and Risa event ships.
Taking out a Borg cube in a luxury liner = not canon either.
At least the Dauntless looks sorta like a Starfleet vessel, that's more than can be said for the others......
Correction: You can join in the fun on tribble if you're willing to shell out the cash to be gold, which at this point doesn't matter that much. Silvers are out of luck.
The notion that the Dauntless is a canon Federation ship because of its blur flying by, means that the Millennium Falcon is also a canon Federation design, as it flew by as a blur in Star Trek First Contact.
That having been said, I'd be more than willing to accept that Starfleet engineers studied Voyager's scans of the Dauntless' hull geometry (which was an integral part of its technology) and since it already employed a Starfleet 'aesthetic', copied that technological advantage for their own use.
The Vesta, the Avenger, and the Odyssey are not canon designs, yet we accept that Starfleet continues to design new ships. Why is it fast fetched to say they'd design a new ship that employs a piece of technology (slipstream hull geometry) that could provide a useful advantage?
So now you need these intelligence officers, but your T5-U ships don't have such IOF.. Dauntless design looks like sea Squid! But now a space Squid! Beside the Extra Deflector the ship layout pretty much the same Intrepid Class Sci-wise.
not sure if any of those can use specialists. I can't see that on the live stream.
If it holds true to what's been published (I missed the livestream it's 5am on a Saturday and I'm not getting up) the LT Sci is a specialist.
I'm more disappointed that after all the feedback and wishlist for changing the BO layout on the Dauntless they totally ignored the community and released it just as it was.

So much for feedback.
I remember there was a dev blog several months back on the design and development process for new ships. Based on what I read there bridge officer seating is one of the first things they design when fleshing out how they want a ship to function mechanically. So with the arrangement serving as the foundation for other aspects of your design, the impact of any changes to it must then be evaluated with respect to the design elements that build upon it. By the time the dev blogs revealing ship stats reach us, bridge officer seating is most likely already set in stone at least from a design pov.
Smirk & Trendy did a good job today with the live stream.
No "blanket code" again, & there doesn't seem to be any more in the near future, had many disappointed.
Tough call since I think it's really good for morale to offer something for ALL that participate, but with the lack of communication sometimes & straight-up greed of some others I was definitely feeling how the grief could weigh more than the benefit.
The viewership goal of 2500 wasn't met so no Operation Packages were rewarded via raffle. Smirk & Trendy did offer (1) OP raffle however at the end of the live stream for all that endured & tried.
Other prizes were: (5), I believe, 500 Zen rewards all done via raffle. The big finale raffle was compliments of Alienware. It was their gaming mouse. Cheese excluded.
The main purpose of today's live stream was showcasing the Dauntless. No doubt it is a nice ship. Sort of chintzy, imo, that it too has no special bridge as it seems many of the newer ships are void of such details.
It was mentioned approximate costs of upgrading ships, but the actual costs of upgrading & costs of new individual ships were not given exact amounts.
Smirk went into some of the details of the BOFFs that come with the OP.
I was really hoping when I first learned of Delta Rising it would increase even more my enthusiasm for STO, but that's just not the case currently. I still don't think it's as good of a package deal as LoR was for the price. It amazes me how they began selling it without offering all it's details too. Talk about a huge Lock Box chance. Aside from the package evaluation I had one ticket issue awhile back which I feel they mishandled, deflected, & wouldn't even answer all of my inquiry. I still consider it an after market fleecing. Therefore, for now, no more financial support from me.
I'm sure DR will offer more fun times for all of us than troubles minus a glitch here & there. There be huge potential in them Delta Quadrants. I think it's amazing that they acquired the support of so many of the Voyager cast, & I really look forward to the storyline missions. I'll just enjoy it with no extra perks except what Lifetimer's receive. STO is still a generous mmo even for F2P.
arthuris designed the ship so that it looked like a forward canon fed design. it was meant this way. (btw we will never know how arthuris species ships look like when they are not altered!)
federation then adapted the plans brought home by voyager and tried to build in the experimental technologies used by arthuris' species. (such as qsd+hullgeometry+deflector slipstream tech as well as the perticle synthesis used for the interior/exterior altering and maybe even the new energy source)
i cant see why so much people have troubles accepting it as a "stolen-bluprint canon fed design"

Well said!
Why can't y'all have this event at 10:00, 11:00 or 12:00 AM PDT??
You Will be Assimilated.
Assimilation is the Key to Happiness.
For those of us who can't make it, be sure to finally update the blog on the Dauntless (including pictures of the bridge ).
THAT was totally uncalled for. And kinda mean.
Time will only tell!
Also add all the details on the ship, I want to know about the Hyper-Advanced Slipstream drive as well as the bridge officer layout.

In the link posted above, the ship in that capture shot is clearly a Dauntless Class. Or a vessel based on the Dauntless.
Even that blur was enough. It demonstrated, clearly, that, when the particle generated illusion was disrupted, the underlying ship was what appeared real, and of alien origin.

So, yeah, Dauntless is canon. Period.
I'd love it if you gave ME that build

I'll second that.

That's IT?
Now I'm worried that "wings up, mid or down" are the only differences on the Faeht as well.
Anyone catch the price if there was one?
