Gateway down/TRIBBLE?

exsteeleexsteele Member Posts: 113 Arc User
I tried accessing my Gateway profile just now (and I was JUST there the other day), but all it is, is a white page saying "welcome to nginex!" or something.

So, yeah, ya might wanna look into that, Cryptic/PWE.

Well THAT doesn't sound good... have you tried removing and re-installing the program? Did you submit a ticket as well as posting here?

It probably wasn't TRIBBLE, just accidentally auto updated or something that knocked the gateway framework to the side. The message is regarding an engine, which I think was used to run gateway.

Not helpful at all, take your vendettas elsewhere, thank-you.

looks like a bad update, nginx is a webserver often used in place of Apache or as a load balancer between multiple servers behind it. Considering it is giving off a bad ssl cert and not directing to the proper page, I would bet its a botched update to the system configuration.

Did'n D'angelo say he preferred Gateway went away and never came back (or something similar)?

Seems he actually made a decision then... After getting permission from Geko of cause.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

no, he said its future was in question because it wasnt getting used as often as they had hoped. of course, it may have been used more often if it was a better experience, but...

its odd that the gateway was used as the excuse for the terrible new doff ui if the plan was to remove gateway though. even stranger would be the decision to replace it with the default 'nginx installed' page (which suggests they merely deleted a cfg file).

but yeah, maybe geko decided that gateway was confusing too many noobs or whatnot.

Most people that are new have no idea what Gateway is unless someone tells them, which is probably part of the reason it's underutilized. Gateway was a very valuable resource for me, due to the fact that Combatlogreader provides an easy link to everyone's page, so I could easily look at a fleetmate's build after running a PvE with them and figure out where to improve it if need be. If it doesn't come back it will make that task a lot more difficult for me.

It has been like that for several hours now. I assumed it was TRIBBLE or the loadfile is the default system one for whatever core code they are using.
If you are looking for an excellent PvE fleet consider: Omega Combat Division today.

That only works until said people figure out to block gateway display of their profiles.

That said: I am very happy it will become hard for you... Other peoples gear is none of your business, unless they tell it to you.

    I used it last week.

I heard they applied a tech upgrade, but did not have enough dilithium to finish.
Have you tried the new forum on your phone?

No doubt. I always use it for intel on people. It is without a doubt the biggest help for giving advice to others as you noted and most importantly it saves a lot of typing for people. :)

As an added bonus it also reveals posers.. :D

Guess someone is going to have to buy zen.
