Universal ship consoles?

With most of the T5 ships about to become obsolete at end game, I was wondering if the Dev's will let us at least get some more use out of the universole consoles they come with. For example:
Torpedo Point Defence System - Heavy Escort Carrier
Console - Universal - Variable Auto-Targeting Armament - Avenger Battle Cruiser
Metreon Gas Canisters - Assault Cruiser Refit
Nadion Saturation Bomb console - Patrol Escort Refit

I'm not saying that ALL of the UC's should be for use on any ship. None of the Kummari consoles would work on another ship as they need the Wing Cannons equipped to use.
I'd love to equip that TPD system on my Galaxy class.
All I'm asking is: Dev's please give this some thought.

Seeing as none of the t5 ships will become obsolete with the introduction of DR, whats the point?

upgrade screen just converted my nukara console directly to a mkxii. just by opening the screen. no more infinity symbol. went from 17.3 down to 15.4 on stats.:mad:

Most T5 Universal Consoles aren't bound to the ship they come with.

I think most of the restricted ones are restricted for a good reason (special animations and such), but maybe a few of them could be re-examined.

You bring up a good point. It's for that very reason there are some consoles I didn't mention. The onse I did, I think they would be a good starting point should the Dev's consider this.

I think the Metreon Gas was limited to the Assault Cruiser line because of a particular scene in Star Trek Insurrection where the Enterprise dumps Metreon Gas in the faces of 2 Son'a ships. So in that case its more of an "association with a particular ship" thing than "this is what this ship should be able to do" thing.
