Have you seen the stupid stuff cryptic has done with STO's story so far?

I've played the game but you're going to have to be more specific.

The one thing that I have to ask, after looking at that picture, is this... Can we finally wear uniforms with pieces from MACO, Omega, Honor Guard, etc.? He's wearing an Omega belt, in addition to the kit pieces that we already have for standard uniforms. You already gave us a ton of accessories with the new Tailor kits. All of the pieces from from armor sets should be compatible with uniforms, at least accessories like shoulders or bracers!

    "Excuse me, Sir... a xenomorph?.."

    "It's a bug hunt..."

    Sounds like more fun!

You totally missed out on the chance to end with "Would you like to know more?"

No need for that... it instantly popped up in my head the moment I reached the end of the blog!

Actually... I am somewhat excited for it and I sincerely hope it won't end up like all the other Ground Queues.

Highly doubtful, seeing how they have new outfits being added, that will probably use some already existing pcs.

Is this the stage from the trailer that showed the character ziplining?

    Or Colonial Space Marines.
Actually, this is a canon threat. Brush up on your Trek lore.
    Conspiracy eh?

As long as I don't have to blow half of a Starfleet officer away, or check my BOFFs for thorns on their necks I'm cool.

Yes it is, that's Harry Kim's hairstyle actually so presumably we'll be getting it as well just as we got all of Tuvok's stuff when he showed up in Season 9.5. I think we're getting most of the pieces from all of the Voyager crew, hopefully including Seven's upgraded body suit. What I'm wondering is if there will be Talaxian BOFFs or will Talaxian parts be added to the alien creator.

I knew that some day would come when i will be STARSHIP TROOPER in STO and that i would quote:

"The historians can't seem to settle whether to call this one "The Third Space War" (or the fourth), or whether "The First Interstellar War" fits it better.

We just call it "The Bug War."

Everything up to then and still later were "incidents," "patrols" or "police actions." However, you are just as dead if you buy the farm in an "incident" as you are if you buy it in a declared war."

Hey look Cryptic just put the Zerg into STO

    Hivemother controls by her will

    Overlmind Controls by his will

    Minions are mindless drones

And the insects are mindless drones

    Zerg are insectoids

    The bugs are isectoids

Idk but i think cryptic has ran out of original ideas

now we get a cross between starship troopers and Starcraft

If these are the insects from TNG's "Conspiracy", then they won't look like bugs at all. They will look like a veriaty of different species (sentient and non-sentient) as they take hosts.

    The neural parasites, huh?

I wonder how we will fight them....they seemed pretty small and physically unimposing (excepting the queen, of course) will swarms/piles of parasites count as individual enemies, or will there be some sort of big 'warrior' parasite form, or will we be fighting possessed hosts, I wonder?

If I recall correctly, in the Star Trek EU the parasites were mutated Trill symbiotes, I wonder if Cryptic is going to use that?

in the DR storyline you will most certainly get your chance to fight them.
    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.

They have brought those things from conspiracy in shouldn't that have been saved for a tng expansion. All in all the name could do with some work and to be honest. The bugs themselves won't be a issue to kill but the hosts would be and they were highly resistant to energy weapons. I only hope there is a cinematic when we kill the queen in the way they killed the host in conspiracy as that was the best trek kill ever unfortunately I doubt I will see something like that in game. Conspiracy may not be shown on syndicated tv but buy the dvd box set or download the episode it is good trek. Also the EU novels featured them but I didn't want them to be mutated trill so preferred to think of them as different race entirely.

Why Cryptic you didn't do The Adventures of Captain Proton STF it is more suitable and more connected to the Delta Quadrant, and would be much more unique to get STF which is black and white that drop weapons from 50ty, 60ty SF movies ???

And on top of that you could include Harry Kim's real voice over.

    Wait for next week's announcement..
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
