Greetings Fellow Authors,
I know not everyone has been following the Tribble patches, but I thought I might pass along the news that there is a new batch of assets coming with Delta Rising thanks to everyone's favorite Tacofangs. A lot of very cool and long requested additions here.
Foundry:
- The Foundry is now back on for Tribble.
- Addition of a number of new Foundry Objects:
- New Romulus Trees, Plants, Rocks, Waterfalls, Ruins, Props and various other details from New Romulus.
- Glass Walls/Floors:
- Federation ESD, Romulan Embassy,and Klingon Starbase.
- Specialty Volumes:
- Low Gravity, Floater, EV Suit Required
- Invisible Floors to match up with the Invisible Walls that are already available.
- Benches from Earth Spacedock, both Sittable and Non-Sittable versions, and their respective cushions.
ADDENDUM: This batch just hit Tribble.
- Adding Scientist jacket to the Foundry, for males and females.
- Adding Salt Vampire male hairstyle to the Foundry.
- Updating species on a couple Tholian Space NPC encounters to be Alien, which exists, instead of Tholian, which doesn't.
- Female Changelings are now actually female.
- The Xindi uniform pieces are now in the Costume Editor.
- Added "Noncombat" KDF and Fed space NPC groups that will not engage in combat with any groups.
- Added "Rogue" KDF and Fed space NPC groups that will attack any groups regardless of allegiance.
- All of the Delta Quadrant species are available as NPC Contacts.
- All of the Delta Quadrant ships as available as NPC Contacts.
- Added many of the beachgoers from Risa as NPC Contacts
- Added new ground NPC Groups: Kobali, Bluegill, Vaadwaur.
- Added new space NPC Groups: Kazon, Benthan, Vaadwaur.
- Added some Ocampa and Hierarchy costumes for NPC Contacts.
- Intel Uniforms have been added to the costumes list.
ADDENDUM 2: ZeroniusRex added a few more NPC group types:
- Added ground and space NPC groups for the Borg Cooperative.
- Added Federation-Allied Klingon NPC groups for both ground and space.
- Added KDF-Allied Federation NPC groups for both ground and space.

Can we have the EV suits for npc costumes too? XD

Yes, that's exactly what they're for. Glass floors too.
Zero was trying to get the EV suits in with the last batch of costumes, but had to pull them due to technical problems. I can tell you that EV suits are set up strangely for a costume. The helmet is actually part of the chest piece and it requires the head to be removed to look right.
What might be a more manageable is to add a male/female stock NPC for each of the EV suits. That would at least cover most situations.
Well both parts will help me with building a more believable Science Laboratory, and EV suits as costumes will double as hasmat suits

Female and Male variants of the Fed,KDF,Rom and Neutral eva suits... Neutral being the Blue,Gold,Orange,Green,Silver suirts.
Apparently we don't even have to wait for Delta Rising - all this stuff is included in the Holodeck patch notes for tomorrow.

Floaters are a little more difficult. People tell me you can still get temporary ones on Risa or get them through the event store, but I don't think you can unlock that right now if you haven't already.
There is already a "god mode" but it just makes you invulnerable, not able to fly sadly. Look on the little map preview UI element when you're testing a map.

At least it's a stop-gap until I can get them in the regular costume editor. I've been trying to make sure that we add everything to it. But some things are non-trivial.
I can't remember whether I called it out in patch notes, but I did add ALL of the various costumes I made for the NPCs on Risa. So while you can't create custom costumes in swimsuits, you can choose from a wide variety of premade ones.

This is a map setting. We can already use swimsuits on the old Risa map in the Foundry.
- Melee volume options so that we can disable ranged weapons like in some missions?
- Timeship bridges and/or assets?
- A vendor or console that sells floaters and/or a melee weapons vendor and/or an EV suit vendor? I'd understand if only the basic versions get sold and they might cost dilithium/etc. but these would help keep missions that use these special features rated high by enabling new players to enjoy these features. I realize vendors are not a typically supported feature and may not be possible through dialogues but I could see, maybe, a click console pre-set to open a vendor window like the "sit in chairs" chairs have a click action pre-set.

EV suit in the costume editor are proving tricky. However, apparently Zero was adding EV suits as NPC contacts to the Foundry last night. A good compromise.
Isn't there something similar exisiting on the Dronzna map or is that all weapons disabled?
