T.T Perfect World really? You are Perfect World... I don't understand this... Making us Pay for DLC? Are Gold Sales not enough? why does this now feel like a Play to Win Game? Or Pay to Explore, like some uber HD verson of R.unescape

o.o did we not learn from the mistakes of R.unescape? That you please the people not line your pockets?

I came back to see if the level caps and such had been raised finally, and if we had more content, we do... o.o but this I want to cry... we have to pay money for the Expansion? what happened to patching it in? I can understand packs and paying gold for things but this makes me so sad T.T

    For starters - moved to general discussion as it doesn't belong in builds,powers and game mechanics.

    But secondly, the Expansion pack is free. Delta Rising is free for all players, the operations pack which comes with ships, titles etc is the one that costs money but isn't required.

    And PS - you can't change the title.

    Interestingly, I have read a couple of forum goers asking wether they need to buy the "delta operations pack" in order to play the expansion. I wonder if a portion of the delta pack sales come from people that are mistaken about buying the expansion pack...

    @ eiza: The pack PWE offers is just a bundle of paystore items with no significance to the actual expansion. Delta Rising will be free and all content is freely accesible. What they sell are, as always, more powerful ships, upgrade tokens and items that you otherwise have to earn through grinding missions, nothing more and nothing less.

    Probably. I suppose Cryptic isn't particularly bothered by it, but when they talk about the expansion itself, they usually specifically mention it's free. People that can't be bothered to read up about it are basically paying their apprentice's due.

    the game is f2p that includes all its core abilities and functions, one of these is the complete storyline. the kit and stuff you will have to work to get otherwise you merely suffer the consequences of an overreaction.

    they should add a dirty robe to the off duty uniform and a the end is neigh sign as a weapon... hell the can call it a future's end tie in and charge 500 zen for it.

    Indeed, best to read through the official blogs and dev posts a few times, always better to get the details 1st hand. It is unfortunate that a few players delight in nothing more than spreading misinformation.

    Mm. Except that the Official Blogs always provide a link to Delta Pack at the end. So it is not hard to believe that after a couple of pages of information about the Delta Expansion and an ad to purchase the Delta Pack that people may get the impression that you have to buy the Pack to get the Expansion. The Blogs really need to mention that the Expansion is Free and that the Pack is Optional. This will save on confusion.

    You aren't forced to pay for anything.

    As much as I dislike the whole T6 ship thing, the game, as concept and for playability, is still fully and entirely free.

    Level increase? Free
    New missions? Free
    New areas to work with? Free

    Everything that lets you spend time is free... No costs associated... Only thing that costs money, is new gimmicks...
    Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
