Just watched the episode on Netflix to decide if this ship was cool enough. Nope, looks MEH...
The epsidoe "Hope and Fear" was one of the best of Voyager. Someone finally calls Janeway the Sanctimonious Trollop she is! Talk about violating the Prime Directive! She helped the freaking Borg!
Its not a Fed ship, and it's FUGLY besides, so no, I don't care about the DR pack. Don't even care about the DR expansion at this point either, since it does little I like, and a lot that I hate.
Think about it. Everything has been centered around the Voyager - Intrepid. So, I am thinking that's going be flat out better then the Dauntless.
The Dauntless I think (opinio..) was thrown into the Delta Pack because not a lot of people are buying the garbage delta pack with the fugly garbage T6 ships. So, Cryptic is throwing something cannon into the pack so people can buy it.
I was going to buy the Pack when it hit the C-Store anyway, so the Dauntless changes nothing for me.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
Will you have to purchase the pack to advance to 60?
Will the bits in the pack be be exclusive? and hence not available unless you buy the pack
Because if this is true, then I may have to withdraw my 3 high level toons from the game as, thanks to Arc everything in the game has doubled in price to me now.
When I was playing STO through steam I was paying in dollars for the content, so I didn't mind paying 25 - 30$ for a ship as it seemed reasonable for digital content once converted to GBP. Now because of the Arc migration I have to pay in Euros, the exchange rate between GBP and Euros has never been brilliant, but when you consider that they haven't even converted the prices, a 25$ ship is now 25 how is that fair? then convert it to GBP and suddenly STO becomes very expensive to play.
Currently Arc have priced the Delta Rising pack at 119.99 this is rediculous for an expansion pack, especially when you consider that the last Deluxe World of ******** expansion was about £50 (63 or 80$) that was an acceptably price for a deluxe upgrade that didn't just contain DLC.
The DR pack is all DLC is a standard pack, and comes in at £94.99, I could buy 3 PS4 games for that!.

It's not they didn't bother to convert it, it's VAT.
The US pays a lot less tax hence why it's cheaper in USD.
More ships that will gather dust when T7 rolls around and T6U won't get the new hotness.
Two years from now I could be dead. Two years from now we could be in the middle of World War 3. Two years from now Comcast could be POed at CBS and make it nearly impossible for me to stream STO - as Net Neutrality has been struck down by the Supreme Court and Internet Service Providers do not need to treat each company on the internet equally. TWO years from now Cryptic could be purchased by Sony. Two years from now... You get the idea.
I am really not the type of guy who spends his life worrying about what bad things might happen X years down the road. It took them over 4 years to make a second Level Cap increase. We will probably not see another until EP 4, sometime in late 2017/early 2018. Anything can happen between now and then.

These are the only exclusives in the pack. From the Delta Rising Operations Pack FAQ.
"Q: What items in these packs are exclusive and cannot be obtained via the C-Store when Delta Rising launches in October?
A: The "Voyager", "Delta Quadrant Ambassador", and "Delta Quadrant Explorer" titles are exclusive to purchasers of the Operations Pack. The Special Delta Quadrant Duty Officer Mini-Pack is also exclusive in the sense that it will not be available in the C-Store for purchase, and contains three (3) unique Delta Quadrant Duty Officers that will join your crew. These Duty Officers are bound, cannot be donated to reputation or fleet holding projects, and provide no rewards upon dismissal. If all three are dismissed, you will be able to re-claim the mini-pack. "
Therefore, if you are only interested in a couple of the ships, then it is pointless to purchase the pack and it is better to just get them through the C-Store when Delta Rising launches. If you are just a KDF or Romulan player, then there is no point to getting it since Feds get 5 ships while they only get 2 ships.
Sure it's another canon Star Trek ship, but it's arguable whether it's even a canon Federation ship.
And it's far from my favorite ship in either category either. I'd rather have a T6 Galaxy, Nebula, Excelsior etc over the Dauntless, to say nothing of the (IMO) hideous Intelligence ships.
When Cryptic starts making T6 and T6 Fleet versions of the T5 ships, I'll start buying T6 ships. They don't hold any interest for me until then, and so I have no interest in this Delta Rising pack.

Having mulled it over (and at the risk of tipping my hand), I expect the best value would be to buy $125 worth of dilithium right now.
There are hard sinks coming not just for dilithium but for EC which will dramatically impact the dilithium economy.
From there, unload your dilithium back into ZEN when the market bottoms out. You should be able to buy everything you'd want from the pack unless you legitimately want everything.
I'm playing with this idea.
Conversely, if you decide to sit on the dilithium for personal spending, you should be able to get all of your gear up to UR quality if not epic this way. You won't want to buy dilithium on the exchange for the first few months after DR drops, I suspect.

Italics in red my answer.
Yes, this direct conversion has to stop. 120$ does NOT equal 120 in any way shape or form. In essence, we here in Europe pay more than our US captains do, and that is not fair at all.
Please do proper conversions PWE/Cryptic, as overpaying is not fun at all...

Well all you can do is go with your gut... but if you're going to get it, try and get it before the Launch of Delta Δ Rising. It will probably go up in price if it's like the LOR pack..
I'm sorry to people who I, in the past, insulted, annoyed, etc.

It is already stated that the pre-Launch Bundle is a 20% discount over the post-Launch price.

Then they are incredibly wrong, as many EU countries does not have VAT on digital purchases.
I know that Norway does not have VAT on digital purchases, and I think the same is true for Scandinavia in fact, plus as mentioned some other countries in Europe.
But either way as I said, 120$ is not equal to 120, infact 120 is worth quite a bit more than 120$...
so the pack has 4 fed ships, a KDF ship and a RRW ship. even if you go EWWW and hold your nose, the three upgrade tokens (anyone know if that is an account unlock? per character? three and that's it?) is going to be worth $15-30 dollars. the KDF and RRW ships are another $50 (assuming 2500 z each) so we are up to $65-80 dollars are the boffs worth $10? now we are up to 75-90. and that's not counting the value of the Fed ships. and it's only considering three existing ships be upgraded via the tokens. if you consider an account unlock it's well worth it.

The Pack has 5 Fed ships, 2 KDF ships, and 2 Rom ships.
It is 3 Upgrade Tokens per Account, but each Token is an Account Unlock. So if you Upgrade an Odyssey all Odysseys get Upgraded.
Edit: I should say we do not know how 3-Packs will get Upgrade, so if you Upgrade a Science Odyssey all Science Odysseys will be Upgraded to T5U on your Account.

Im not a fan of the dauntless it looks like a dried squid to me. I saw the sneak peak of the guardian and that looks ok. I was never a big fan of the galaxy but its nicer looking then the rest of the fed ships in the pack. I do really wish they had added 1-2 more romulan and Klingon ships to the pack that way it would be an easy decision. Like others have pointed out if you look at the raw numbers the pack seems like a good idea. But those fed ships thats 4 out of 5 I dont like. Whats funny is I do like some of the roughs they put on display some looked really promising sadly some place in between that promising was stripped away.

KDF and Romulan ships look pretty good, but I don't play those factions enough to justify the purchase price.

The disguised version was a very close refit of the Prometheus. I'd at least like to see it as a bridge pack.

Nowhere is it stated that you have to buy the DR Operations Pack to play DR.
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
