so they released info today feds get yet another ship Dauntless to me it looks bad but thats not the issue. its the fact feds get yet another freaking ship LOL .
Trophies for killing FEDS ahh those were the days.
you know, i once tried to create a forum profile named "Doooomtrain", the plan with it was to post "DOOOOOOOM TRAAAAAIIIIIN!" in all the doom/nagging/complaining threads i came across, but i was too lazy to make a new email for it, so it never became reality, but if it had, you would've seen it here!
moral of the story? keep complaining about the KDF/ROM lack of ships, we obviously won't get anything out of it

Complain or Not... it would not matter as long Geko's the lead designer of STO, which he already made it subtlely clear that he's Pro-Fed on pod casts...
His logic, Feds got more players than other factions so therefor they will get more content/ships.
Geko should understand that when Devs (which is him) favors one faction over others by releasing most of the content towards one faction, of course the one with the most content will have more players in that Faction.
Now if Blizzrard's WoW and Bioware's SWTOR Dev's have done the same things like what Cryptic/Geko have done in STO, then we would see alot more players on the Alliance than Horde in WoW and more Jedi than Sith in SWTOR instead of the factions population balance they got now.
Moral of the Story? When one gives special treatment to one faction, then thats where most people would go...
The only thing that's surprising is that anyone is surprised.
Haven't Cryptic Devs always been clear that they expect to produce more things for the Federation because that's what most players play? Because Star Trek lore is predominantly about the Federation?
Haven't they stopped promising parity while continuing to support the factions with new toys and similar features when they could?
Both Rom and KDF got T6 ships. As far as we know, just the two KDF and one Rom. There will be more down the road, though.
Delta Rising is by and large about retracing Voyager's journey in a sense. Of course, the Dauntless. They didn't run into too many Klingons out there in the Delta Quadrant. It's a theme. They didn't have to build any non-Federation playable ships to support that theme, but they did need them for expanded level progression and the new Intel specialization. So we got ships.
Please don't let this turn into yet another rant that we have to close.
Support the KDF by playing KDF and buying KDF ships and gear, however much of it they actually create. If the KDF is ever to get more stuff than the bare minimum, they're going to have to see the numbers.
"Build it and they will come" sounds great in a fortune cookie, not so much on a financial statement. Thing is, they did build it and few came. I get that people want them to build more anyway, but it's just not reasonable to expect that they're going to produce equal numbers of ships for each faction. Especially when they've clearly expressed that they're not.
To tell the truth, I'm not going to be terribly shocked if/when they release Adm. Janeway's alternate timeline shuttlecraft. And nobody else should be, either.

Yeahhhh, thing is blue when they did build it, it was a half arsed job and it ended up complete TRIBBLE. No one played it (surprise surprise) and as a result the devs went "okay, no one plays this so we won't bother" instead of finding out why people didn't play it and addressing that issue. It is the same vicious circle that got the exploration clusters and diplomacy system killed.
That 'thing' is ugly as sin, but if fanboiz fall all over themselves to throw money at cryptic for that thing then more power to them. It would be nice to have a couple more KDF options but their continued desire to ignore the KDF and hope we'll 'join the dark side' doesn't convince me to drop a couple years work and roll a feddie marshmallow toon just so I can play with new toys.
I don't even care anymore that my KDF's interface is blue, or the ships in open space are bracketed in blue. It just reminds me that there are nothing but feddie fanboiz on the dev team and nothing is going to make them sympathetic to the minotiry of the playerbase.

fact.
They could have just as easily done NOTHING, for the Red side of the game with DQ.
It does predominantly have to do with a Blue Ship/Crew all alone on the other side of nowhere.
Including ships for the Romulans and Klingons I thought was a great gesture toward those factions.

So the whole new season is all about reliving the tired adventures of a weak addition to the franchise. YAWN. Guess the DQ isn't something I need to look forward to then. Perhaps they'll be happier if all the KDF guys roll thru the DQ in Breen ships. That'll do wonders for their sense of immersion.

You're right. They screwed up the KDF at launch, didn't give them enough PvE content, and then mucked around with the way they level up. PvP, the meat and potatoes of the faction, has never been what it could have been.
And yet they still keep adding things for the KDF, and still keep trying to make the experience better. You tell me it isn't way, way better than it was before the game went F2P. I know better.
KDF Tutorial. Qo'Nos. Expanded the number of KDF-exclusive unique missions. Fixed level progression. Fleets. New ships.
They built it, they kept working on it, and they're still working on it. Even though, as far as I know, the KDF playerbase still hasn't grown significantly. Yes, they could do more. Nobody argues that. But don't act like they've abandoned the KDF.

We're still missing a T6 Raider and Carrier of any sort. (Not to mention FDCs, Science Ships and Destroyers - all of which have well-established ship lines in the KDF.)
Conversely, I do think the ships we are getting are arguably superior to the Fed and Rom analogies. Silver Lining, if you will.
You do know you can change the colors of the HUD right? Anytime you want to. I have 4 KDF characters and not one has blue on their HUD.
It's been literally years since I had to go into the option menu's but I'll take a look and see what 'burped' back to fed colors. Thanks for reminding me.

I would respond that they haven't given any faction a T6 carrier of any sort, unless you know something I don't.
I don't think they're going to stop making T6 ships and I think there's a reason to expect some of those future ships to be KDF.
I just think we should be past the old habit of outrage when they release a Fed ship and don't immediately release one for KDF. We know KDF won't have as many ships, ever. They didn't lie to us and tell us there would be equal representation in Delta Rising. Quite the opposite; they were pretty candid about setting the right expectations.
By all means, ask for more KDF ships. I'm going to want some of those myself. But getting upset when they add a Fed ship? It's getting old. And maybe I'm a little cranky today.

Is it fair? No, not really. Am I suprised? Nope. The first iteration of 4-2-2 was not fair to begin with, so this is no shocker, especially not to people that have been with STO for a while.
All I'm going to say is - at the end of the day, it's their choice. If they want to be the laughing stock of the industry, so be it. Maybe they're in their comfort zone when expectations are low. *shrugs* STO will unfortunatley be remembered as the only game with such glaring gaps of disparity and the terrible management of factions.
Don't really care anymore, I gave up on expecting any semblance of parity a long time ago. I only want and hope for continuous development, even at a smaller scale, and for what it's worth I feel we've been getting that. So it's not as it should be, but it's not dead either. My only hope is that this continues.
I like playing the KDF for many things, but one of them is being the underdog. KDF is the underdog in every possible way and it's kinda' fun overcomming such integrated obstacles. I don't care how many ships Feds get, I like my ships. From the 5 new Fed ships there is only one I find kinda' acceptable, while I'm still drooling over the 2 the KDF got. Even thogh they're just 2. At least I'll enjoy myself.
The only thing that's surprising is that anyone is surprised.

I have been waiting for more ships, costumes and other goodies to come out but they never have. Give me more KDF stuff to but as we are suffering from chicken and the egg issues from release with old Danny boy.

Guys, Cryptic is creating this situation.
We should know that by now.
I believe we'll get a T6 Intel BoP and the other classes of ships that are missing so far.
If we don't...I guess it's their loss, isn't it?
All those resources allocated on the KDF and Cryptic just can't capitalize on it.
Still, a PvP faction with the game's PvP foundation nerfed/cross-consoled/tweaked to smoldering ruin would have a negative affect on said faction.
Again, we aren't to blame.
Cryptic won't own up to it and they sure as Grethor aren't going to fix it.
NO to ARC RIP KDF and PvP 2014-07-17 Season 9.5 - Death by Dev
Its a big, disappointing shock; Though not something unsurprising.
I think most people would have thought they'd be less.. well... transparent about favoritism for DR.
I was still holding onto hopes that the ships they added to the pack later would of been a kdf and a rom one to round out the selection. Not another fed one.
Its sad really, the ship designers for STO do some really beautiful KDF ships. Wish the number crunchers would let them do more.
They didn't run into too many Klingons out there in the Delta Quadrant. I
just a little over 200 of them that had been in the delta quad for what was it they said 4 generations. passive sensors alone over that amount of time would have gathered more info than voyager did its 7 years.
but really all these posts defending the feds feels like trolling. i mean i post a straight up topic for discussion inside the Klingon fleet yards and we still get these feddy bears coming in to say we are the cry babies.
well what ever, ill cry a freaking river if i want to. im not crying doom or gloom and i even understand the feds have more players and its probably what the majority of the sheeple want. but i can still have the right to cry foul if i want, over a inequality justified or not. that is until the terms of service are edited even further making it wrong to suggest or comment on anything.

yeah these lazy fes focued on the feds are mostly about feds no kidding. the thing is if we had kdf content specific to kdf it would not have to be. i could think of many things in the delta quad that would be of intrest to the kdf. formost finding the Klingons marooned by Voyager. ( I made a foundry mission about that till it got deleted last year for some reason .KDF "marooned delta quadrant" )
if 500 of nelix kin folk can now need a colony. im sure 200 klingons could be of a rather sizable group by now.
and KDf is not held back by the prime directive we could gain allot of allies in the delta quad. Kazon would bow down and serve us in a heart beat for freaking water.
i forget the name of the species but they are in the new expansion. the warriors with the subspace corridors, they alreay admire the Klingons they would make excellent allies for the Empire. so plenty we could do. and even have a better chance of curbing hostilities by allowing us to bring the more aggressive species under the kdfs control.
Trophies for killing FEDS ahh those were the days.
You do know you can change the colors of the HUD right? Anytime you want to. I have 4 KDF characters and not one has blue on their HUD.
you do know kdf is plagued by random bugs that do not get everybody. im sure feds have some aswell but i cant say if they do or not, I DONT PLAY THEM. but kdf,
My main toons can only challenge a player if they are in my team. but if i log into an alt account it works fine.
tailor outfits that money was paid for still dont work and havent for a long long time.
rep mark tribble bug still in game even after multiple reports on it. all those gold spammers seem to be doing it as well. since they are bots its not hurting them any to cheat while waiting out the new player zone chat timer. gathering rep marks to trade for dil to buy keys to sell on exchange ofr ec to sell for real cash.
so just because something is working for you don't assume the user is a fool just because yours works. but then again maybe he is i don't know but im not assuming either way.
Trophies for killing FEDS ahh those were the days.
I was thinking about the C-store and if I missed anything on there and man we have not seen much added to it for the KDF to even buy.
So going back what was the order of the KDF ships we got?
Dyson 3 set
Mogh class ... last year Dec?
B'Rotlh BoP LoR?
Qaw'Dan BoP LoR?
Bortasqu' flagship
Then way back to the big mega ship release for all the lower tier +1 ships.
Bridge packs ... way way back
Costumes ... none
I must have spent easily around $700 or more on lock box keys until it sunk in that this was simply gambling and I have not purchased any in well over a year. Biggest regret with STO was lock box keys and very dangerous for some personality types.

the 2 BoPs you mention were in the game before and taken out they gave them back again with LoR
fleet ship versions we did get. but as you said not much in c-store which makes most of our fleet ships even cost a fortune since we dont have the c-store version to allow for discount.
i have the fleet tork on 4 toons because its a good ship. and im not crying about the price because to me it was worth it to have a good ship. but it sure is not even close to equal treatment. when all 4 cost me 4 FSMs were there a c store version each of the 4 toons would have only need 1 FSM. but ohh well.

LOL, please...
You can't expect "to see the numbers" in sales when Cryptic's putting out nothing to sell to begin with for the KDF.
Our last C-Store ship was the Mogh from earlier this year, which only came after the original version, the Fed Avenger, was released first.
And before the Mogh, the last C-Store KDF ship was the Bortasqu'. There was over a 2 YEAR break in between these 2 releases.
Nobody will see good numbers for sales if you don't put anything out to sell anyways.
And with the subsequent info being released in the upcoming DR, how many Fed, KDF, Rom ships will there be?
op im not shocked by this i play all factions but i am willing to pay for more kdf or rom stuff but im not willing to pay for more fed. e,g my fed ships will be only getting upgrades but my my rom will get a T6 ship the only reason my kdf 2 chars are not getting T6 is because no T6 bop for my tac n no sci ship for my sci.
if they had used DR to add ships that are missing from KDF n ROM i would of forked out for zen instead ill use the zen i have grinded. i hope they add a new c-store kdf outfit if they do ill buy zen with hard cash. bet they dont
the last ship i payed cash for was the kdf Dyson pack i new i would not even use it for long as it is a TRIBBLE ship but i payed for it to show i will support the KDF game but its not made a difference

Cryptic won't own up to it and they sure as Grethor aren't going to fix it.
RIP KDF and PvP 2014-07-17 Season 9.5 - Death by Dev
I think most people would have thought they'd be less.. well... transparent about favoritism for DR.
I was still holding onto hopes that the ships they added to the pack later would of been a kdf and a rom one to round out the selection. Not another fed one.
Its sad really, the ship designers for STO do some really beautiful KDF ships. Wish the number crunchers would let them do more.
just a little over 200 of them that had been in the delta quad for what was it they said 4 generations. passive sensors alone over that amount of time would have gathered more info than voyager did its 7 years.
but really all these posts defending the feds feels like trolling. i mean i post a straight up topic for discussion inside the Klingon fleet yards and we still get these feddy bears coming in to say we are the cry babies.
well what ever, ill cry a freaking river if i want to. im not crying doom or gloom and i even understand the feds have more players and its probably what the majority of the sheeple want. but i can still have the right to cry foul if i want, over a inequality justified or not. that is until the terms of service are edited even further making it wrong to suggest or comment on anything.
yeah these lazy fes focued on the feds are mostly about feds no kidding. the thing is if we had kdf content specific to kdf it would not have to be. i could think of many things in the delta quad that would be of intrest to the kdf. formost finding the Klingons marooned by Voyager.
Kazon would bow down and serve us in a heart beat for freaking water.
i forget the name of the species but they are in the new expansion. the warriors with the subspace corridors, they alreay admire the Klingons they would make excellent allies for the Empire. so plenty we could do. and even have a better chance of curbing hostilities by allowing us to bring the more aggressive species under the kdfs control.
you do know kdf is plagued by random bugs that do not get everybody. im sure feds have some aswell but i cant say if they do or not, I DONT PLAY THEM. but kdf,
My main toons can only challenge a player if they are in my team. but if i log into an alt account it works fine.
tailor outfits that money was paid for still dont work and havent for a long long time.
rep mark tribble bug still in game even after multiple reports on it. all those gold spammers seem to be doing it as well. since they are bots its not hurting them any to cheat while waiting out the new player zone chat timer. gathering rep marks to trade for dil to buy keys to sell on exchange ofr ec to sell for real cash.
so just because something is working for you don't assume the user is a fool just because yours works. but then again maybe he is i don't know but im not assuming either way.
Yeah.
if they had used DR to add ships that are missing from KDF n ROM i would of forked out for zen instead ill use the zen i have grinded. i hope they add a new c-store kdf outfit if they do ill buy zen with hard cash. bet they dont
the last ship i payed cash for was the kdf Dyson pack i new i would not even use it for long as it is a TRIBBLE ship but i payed for it to show i will support the KDF game but its not made a difference
