it just shows how shallow are game mechanics for some popular setups. no timing, no positioning, no second thought needed.

But that means that anyone that fight dius that had the timing, the correct positioning should beat him? But as i can see of all his battles he has lost against 2 players.....


that being said.... i have played with dius a long time now... and suffice it to say... he actually have decent timing... and knows how to exploit a weakness in his target defense...

from what i have seen in most of his videos its his timing and the correct positioning that allows him to win most of his duels.....maybe u need to rewatch and learn? Maybe even challenge him?

I dont make my ships for 1v1, its mostly super boring, coz ppl bring either full fbp ships, or tanks. or full p2w lobi setups. that's pure trolling.

Only 1v1 i enjoy is escort vs escort. or vs Sax and his funny sci builds

Hey... some people adapt.... and some people are conservative.... history shows the ones that adapt usually wins..... claiming the game is broken is an excuse i have heard way to often lately.... but did you know that with the imense diversify we have in this game... makes it possible to still create builds that noone have even thought of yet... and that there is a counter for everything in this game.... ????

Well, thats your opinion and i respect that, but i disagree. It's all apart of the game, and i think everyone should be able to use anything that the game itself provide. I find it challenging to figure out builds to counter the supposed trolling.

Certainly, there is always stuff to learn.
But first and most important thing that you can learn from 1v1 videos is that guy with better equipment will bring down the other guy.

About FBP. I dont even have ships that FBP can kill. what that means i leave to you.
and i use it myself on 2 ships. but bringing it into 1v1 vs escort or beamer is just not fun or challenging in any way.

Talk was about mechanics that are so 2D, that positioning and slightly less timing as well when using beams, mean very little in STO.
Include P2W consoles in the mix and make it 1v1 and you have very simple set of rules.
-Better equipped guy wins
-SCI wins vs escort
-good tanks cannot be killed unless you do lucky hyper crit


PPL going in 1v1 with ships that are made with no firepower and made instead not to be killed make 1v1 unattractive for me. Again, i'm not talking about him. It seems i need to emphasize that.

only 1v1 that i find useful is for testing new gear.
Nothing more to say on the subject.

how about you go to work for those who you want to adapt so they have the time to grind all the new stuffs every 2 weeks?

I dont claim the game is broken ...The game IS broken .Oh and yes anyone can circle around with no timing with broken stuffs.Its in the same category with voldy ...difference is cryptic never "put" that in game officially...at least not yet.I'm sure when they do you will grind for it.


Till then i hope your windows will BSOD every 10 minutes ,your car to break daily and your phone to never work...these broken things are the stuffs you consider fun so I wish you many many broken stuffs :rolleyes:
