Invisible weapons/Shields bug since Season 9

HI Guys,
Just want to mention: 1. Shield and weapon effects disappearing again in large scale STFs especially Crystalline Cat.... Undine Battlezone.... and most places where lots or weapon power effects converge.
2. Massive framerate drops again in crowded stfs

Running on Alienware 17 laptop.

    i'm having this prob too. i don't notice the shield effects quite as much but especially in cce i almost never see my own weapons.

    It is a know issue. Engine is unable to render everything at once obviously.

    mmm sneaky, why close a thread on a major issue like this, !!! or was it closed caues one of the mods said it was fixed and the fix would be released in a patch soon and its not. ???

    ps 2 other threads on this also closed,,,,!!!!!!!

    found 1 still open in graphic & sound.

    Isn't it nice how threads about large scale and long standing problems just get closed without any explanation, statemen ore comment? :rolleyes:

    I noticed that my space set visuals also go away. My Xindi crab has a nasty habit of becoming un-assimilated.
    I completed a 2-man CSE, ISE, and KASE, Optionals included. And I soloed Winter Invasion.

    Has anyone confirmed that this bug has actually been fixed?

    Oddly, I can't find a corresponding patch note in the Redshirt forums. I thought such changes were supposed to go to Redshirt first when a major new release is on Tribble for testing.

    The last few patches that went to Holodeck never made it to redshirt at all. Besides, there seems to be a lot of reports that redshirt is acting up and giving some error preventing people from logging in.

    Usually they stop updating redshirt and put minor bug fixes straight to holodeck the last few weeks of tribble testing for a new season. At this point I don't think they're gonna fix redshirt before DR launches, much less updated with the last few patches that went to holodeck.

    From what I've seen from yesterday and today, cryptics "fix" for the problem hasn't worked at least from my stand point.

    Sigh. It seems that invisible weapons are back in full strenght. I guess it was too good to be true :p

    Today in the undine battlezone, i coudnt see my weapons at all. Not even moving the camera angle. Curious thing is, before the supossed fix, the effects were even less noticeable than now. I guess the game engine is definitely going to explode?

    If this is the way this game is gonna be ... :mad:
