    The colors are actually taken directly from the other LCARS, they just don't cover as large of an area, so they look dimmer in that screenshot.

    So, *Cough* when does the Long Range Science Vessel get the secondary warp core slot? Yes, I said "Secondary Warp Core", look at the MSD. There are _two_ warp cores. (The original MSD in-show showed it as well.)

    Still, love how the MSD has been updated to reflect the changes that happened during Voyager's "trip".

    From what Tacofangs said (I'm too lazy to go look it up). The secondary warp core was a spare, and likely cannibalized during Voyager's trip (although I think Suricata said that).

    If you pay attention to the MSD, the secondary warp core isn't actually hooked up to anything.

    Something about using a shuttle and tractor beam and ejecting both cores and replacing one with another like a spare tire if need be?

    Yeah, this was my understanding as well - essentially, a spare warp core assembly that is otherwise not powered up at all.
